Title: Too few complaints here
Post by: scagga on 06 Jul 2016, 05:36

True.
It's so silent in here you can hear the pound drop.

Yeah, mods, stop slacking! It's been 2 months since you've catacombed katacombed anything!

Implying the mods need to catacomb anything, you lot need to try harder at breaking or bending the rules!

How about an off-topic/derail post?
Where did you make/find your new avatar, Onzo?
Also, I tricked you into misspelling katacombed.  :P

This post is already off topic and needs to be katacombed immediatly!

FYI I got it made by a corpie who is an awesome graphic designer and propoganda chief of PTB

TBH, I've been both surprised and slightly disappointed by the lack of reported posts activity when I do my regularly scheduled lurks.

If it's too quiet, go poke Kim with a stick or something.

Oh wait. She's banned.

Is she? I'd missed that development. I was under the impression that Dianna Kim's player was just very good at holding character. Much as Scagga & Rodj Blake's alter egos are.

What happened?

Not banned from here.

And incapable of separating the player from the character is what you meant, I think. Which uh, Rodj is just fine at. And Scagga.

No, that's not what I mean at all. I've met Scagga & Rodj in person at the London EVE meets. What I mean is they are very good at holding character when they want to.

And yet you suggested DK was the same as them. Personal experience over many years says she's not. So you can't have it both ways.  :P

I've never met DK's player. I'd kinda assumed that whoever they are they just don't break character in public except on very rare occasions. A bit like the whole pro wrestling kayfabe thing.

The few times I've talked to DK's player they seemed pretty chill, obviously I doubt I've had as in-depth convos as other people here. Either way character and player weren't that similar iirc.

Search for a thread titled 'Problems in summit moderation' in this forum, go through it and judge for yourself.

DK's player goes by username Lithium Flower.

I think the problem is that I was misunderstanding Arnulf's use of the term "breaking character."

I was thinking of the concept of being able to differentiate between IC and OOC. My bad. ;P

Just read it, all I can say is I'd probably be pissed too. But then again let's be honest here, I highly doubt things weren't justified on the mods part (given how dk is on the forums there probably was alot more in play on that so how the hell could I fault them?) Ya, I see your point fully, my bad.

It is a pretty good demonstration of DK's player acting just like the character in an OOC situation, far as I know.

Personally I think we could avoid having a public show trial of another user, banned or not, in this thread.

You heard the man. No complaint is best complaint.

Nonono, back on topic! Complaints! Can't you see how lacking the moderation in this thread is?!
Rabblerabblerabble!

Rabble rabble wtf is a communo-nihilist? Everyone is equally empty and pointless?

Close. Equally pointless, yes. Empty...not so much, I think.

Edit: if this off-topic post doesn't get katacombed...rabblerabblerabble.

And you should just hit the report button and a friendly neighbourhood mod like me can merge the thread without you needing to necro another to make a point :P
 I did press report, both times. Your buttons are broken, good sir.
And I just necrod the threads because I realized I had something to add, and wouldn't want to burden the mod team with having to move my post as well. :D
Hmm, maybe I should report you for a breaching rule 11.  :P

It was more a light hearted comment about you just needing to hit the report button and leave it at that without needing to make a post about it. However, it seems there is a pattern forming of threads being started when there are already similar (if not identical) threads about so take this as a win for issuing the handy reminder.
