I'm sure you've all already seen it but there's a stupid big storm following the cold front in the north east U.S. A few people have already died from the flooding.
DC has seen nothing but lightning hits recently. A few windows have been reported shattered from the strikes. Power failing in spots across the DMV.
IF YOU ARE IN THESE STATES, PLEASE BE SAFE AND BE AWARE.
UPDATE: Explosion near office building. Strike hit a transformer on a different grid I think.

Been watching this roll past our office in Beltsville (a little NE of DC), about to head home to Takoma Park (a hair east of the North corner of the city). It's been pretty awesome, but traffic is fuuuuuuuuuuucked.

Eagerly awaiting boomings and crashings. As usual it'll likely blow over Philly with no effect.. loser storms. *shakes fist*
