Post what you're having for dinner tonight. :D
Home made dinner:
Pan seared 1.5 in. pork chops in a brown sherry sauce/gravy, light herbs added for seasoning. Mashed potatoes with milk and butter, drizzled with gravy. Whole kernel corn, steamed. Served with an ice chilled drink for the summer heat.
-
I had a salad and a diet coke.

I am sustained solely by the tears of small children, no need for 'food.'

Ramen. Again.

I think that plain text in threads like this is boring.
Thus I believe that the rule by FMAR over at FHC regarding a thread somewhat like this should apply:
If you're posting about food and not delivering a picture of it then a ban is incoming.
Now if you'll excuse me I'll go and try to sell this to the other mods.

Bratwurst.

Last night's dinner in my household was a shephard's pie. Well, a variant of one, anyway. Using cut up pieces of bratwurst cooked with mixed veggies, seasoned a little with worchsire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder for the bottom layer. Some thin slices of cheese on top of that, and then the mashed potato layer. <.<
Yes, it was good. Bummer my kids didn't like it, same as with all my cooking. :|

When they get to college, they will change their minds about this.

Chicken soup. Specifically, chicken, potatoes, peas, carrots, and some salt. Oh, and water.
In general, I'm not a picky eater. I simply don't like raw mushrooms, raw zucchini, and avocado. Everything else I tend to tolerate or, more often, enjoy. Within reason.
Personally, though, I tend to make soup a lot. Largely because home-made soup is easy, tasty, quick, and, most importantly, not something I'm going to screw up after working eleven hours. Other things I like to make or have made well are apple pie, pasta salad, broiled salmon, a variety of actually tasty casseroles (admittedly, largely composed of cheese and meat), and so forth. But tonight? Soup. If it would finish cooking. And until it does, tequila. :D
-
Tonight will be hotwings and whatever else I can scrape together.
-
Cooked spaghetti with fried swedish meatballs and pasta sauce for a bit more flavoring.
Because I've not had that in months. And it's likely to be tomorrow's dinner too because I tend to intentionally make to much food to it's enough for two fillings. \o/

Sandwiches.
Tomorrow, sandwiches.
The day after that, sandwiches.
The day after the day after that, sandwiches.
After a week, cereals.
After that back to sandwiches.

Bringing out my Italian blood.
Please share your recipe.
-
1 jar alfredo sauce (four cheese)
1 onion
1 package mushrooms
1 garlic cloveling
Salt, pepper, herbs
2 cups milk
Olive oil
1 tablespoon sherry cooking wine
Cut chicken AGAINST the grain for best tenderness, and brown in olive oil in a large deep skillet. Add salt, pepper, and herbs to taste. Add chopped onions, mushroom, garlic and butter sautéed mushrooms. Simmer, stirring frequently on medium until water is gone. Brown on hi heat for 2 minutes stirring constantly. Add sherry once it starts sticking to the bottom.
Linguine should be done. Add jar of Alfredo and milk to skillet, simmer if linguine is not done until it is.
Serve hot.
I may be forgetting parts of it. It's too early in the morning for me, haha.

You lazy italian you!

I can make my own. I just don't want to, most days. I ALWAYS make my own marinara though.

Well you already have the courage to cook stuff, that's already something.
-
Wasn't intended as a snipe. I'm a terribly lazy person myself and refine premade stuff all the time. I usually only go all the way when I'm cooking for someone. And even then I'm too lazy to make my own pasta.
Also, at one point in my life (I think almost everyone has periods like this), cooking was 'Add pasta to water, then pour cheese and whatever readymade sauce you have over it'. Alternatively: Take thing out of freezer. Operate oven. Profit.

Mom used to tell me "when cooking for yourself, the only person you have to impress is your stomach" :P

Ooooh. Just saw this topic.
And all I can say?
It's -on.-
Sunday, roasted leg of lamb with assorted veggies. I should've had some foresight and made a yorkshire with the drippings, and a sauce, but we were flying casual.
Now, to plot tonight's dinner, and take pictures.

MEATLOAF!!!!! \o/\o/\o/
