All the other websites and forums stick a little icon on my tab and with my bookmarks. Backstand doesn't!
This is an urgent matter that should be quickly fixed post haste.

I fired off the .icos to Silver so he can opt to use them or not. ;)

I like the B version.
Maybe having a "BS" pun would be good for something like Chatsubo, where bullshit is almost encouraged... but it isn't here. That isn't the intent of the boards, and it shouldn't be advertised as such even as a pun. Backstage doesn't need an 'edgy' favicon like that.
The EVE version was nice, but I think I like the golden B better, as it fits and blends with the site's theme better. If we used the EVE icon's B it would be a little out of place, imo.

What Safai made is along the lines of what i was thinking, though I was thinking the gold B with a red-brown background. I should've been clearer. xD

Not as much of a fan as the other one. I'd rather see the gold icon on a grey background, same as the board itself, but thats me

That's a good one too. A little more personality than the blue one since the color gives some originality to it while remaining in the strong eve reference.
I shall elaborate why I do not like the other one, since I forgot to clarify a bit why, which is not very fair : I find the first one too... common/standard/trite compared to the eve version. I feel like I am dealing with a luxury brand of some kind, who usually love that kind of logos. It's classy though, but it's less eve.

It's been a little over a month since this thread died down and I was wondering if anything was in the works. :)

I'll be installing XP on my laptop tonight. I've got the old dbs for my corp forum, blog, DF1AS killboard, etc. being rar'd for upload so I can download 'em soon.
I expect by the end of the week, I'll get all the usernames and passwords I need from Silver, download a nice FTP client, and put the favicon in place.
So this time, I'll say Soon without the ™ because it really will be Soon. This is actually high on the agenda for me, 'cause I want the bookmark on my Android's home screen to show the pretty icon instead of the default flag thing it shows now in between the pretty Facebook and FetLife icons.

I dunno what firefox's problem is, but it's now showing in IE. Don't know about chrome, never installed it. I'll check on that later.
Apparently it just takes some time for FF to unfuck itself; if you use FF and it doesn't show up by, say, tomorrow, then post here and I'll see if I can't find some solution. For now, it's time for breakfast. And a shower. And a cigarette. And if I have a drink or two, no, it's NOT too early when you work midnight shift and you're used to saying things like "It's too early in the night/too late at morning," so don't judge me, k? :oops:
Thanks again to Safai and everyone who posted in this thread with comments/feedback that helped to reach the beautiful 16x16 end result!

So apparently favicon info is stored in some kind of special place in your browser. It's not just a cache. It's more than that. It's like a supercache. Anyway, Ctrl+F5 didn't do it for me in FF... restarting FF didn't do it for me... restarting my laptop, however, that did it for me. I now have the favicon displaying properly in Firefox.
Maybe this super inconvenient solution will work for the Chrome users who're having trouble as well?

Doesn't seem to work at work either...
At least on tabs, not tried on bookmarks yet. Though it doesnt work on bookmarks at home too, but maybe it's because it never refreshed.

Worked on the tabs at work but get nothing at home, weird.

Have you two tried CTRL+F5, going into your browser's options and manually clearing the cache then restarting the browser (and or your machine altogether)? I had to do all of that before it would show for me.
EDIT: Also had to delete all cookies associated with Backstage and eve-inspiracy.com. One of those things worked, but I couldn't tell you which or even if it would've worked without doing the other stuff. hth

Was going to say not working in Chrome, but forgot, the favicon appears on the tab, not always in the address line. Refreshed Chrome and see the icon on the tab. Looks awesome
