Title: Gallentean new to the board!
Post by: Aedre Lafisques on 20 Mar 2013, 09:30: Hey there! Looking for some RP opportunities in EVE, especially for Gallente.

I know about 'forceposing' and general etiquette from oldschool MU*s, and EVE seems like a great sandbox to make characters in. There's a great volume of fluff, and the game has a lot of different speeds within it.
What's always drawn me to it is the stories that people tell, or even CCP framing changes within context of a living world, run by players.

I'd love to find a corp I can be a Gallentean newbie at the game, and possibly also as a capsuleer, to enrich the skill queue/mining/missioning/attempting to blast things aspects of all these mechanics.

Glad to have stumbled upon the boards!

At least in ancient MU*speak, a "pose" (:<action>) is the same as /me <action>.

Hm... I guess that really was kind of a long time ago! I certainly couldn't imagine anything like EVE XP If EVE is celebrating its 10th anniversary, then...

Post by: Aedre Lafisques on 22 Mar 2013, 16:11: I sure did! Got up and watched the whole thing stream out of Luminaire. Ticking news updates across the apartment was the most hype in the house since a friend of mine went to an EVO tourney!

Neat event - Good on CCP to even attempt this kind of stuff from time to time. Had a different live stream on nearly every monitor in the house, it was great fun.

But phew, that changes stuff around here doesn't it!
