Title: Would it be possible?
Post by: Jekaterine on 06 Mar 2013, 03:25
Tapatalk is an app for Android and Iphone/Pad that converts the forums for an easier forumwhoring experience from these handhelds.

From their homepage (http://www.tapatalk.com/) that I browsed quickly Simple Machines is supported.
According to their FAQ (http://www.tapatalk.com/faq.php) there is no cost to hook up to this, except as a user, then the app costs $2.99

The reason I ask is that I'm often on the road and can't always break out the laptop so read my forums on the phone. This would make it much easier.
If there are no costs for Backstage so much the better.

What phone are you using? I have no issues using the browser on my phone tbh. (Lumia 920)

I can imagine on that little iPhone screen its not easy though.

Tapatalk does offer a sweet mobile interface. It's really a matter of whether the administrators here want to explore it and then take on supporting it.

This would probably be something Misan would need to do.

Doubt he'd say no, but not something to expect short-term.

There are these things called PMs, I see and respond to them. :P

Anyhow, I did the smart thing and set this forum to notify, since I don't check the forums on a consistent basis being out of EVE for the foreseeable future.

That said, the mod is almost installed, I have to do some server side stuff that will need input from Silver to finish properly. Expect it to be fully functional in max of a week, likely much less.
