Title: 100 word character introductions
Post by: Seriphyn on 09 Apr 2012, 16:00
Sometimes, our characters can get so complicated and convoluted over months of RP, that it becomes easy to lose a sense of perspective and grounding. I propose a self-indulgent "100 word character introductions" in an attempt to bring our characters 'back-to-basics' and perhaps remind ourselves of our character's core beliefs, without oversimplifying their being. Think of it as if EVE was a video game from the late 1990s; you whip out the novella-sized manual, and flip to the character appendix. In it, there's a list of the main characters with their portraits, and a short paragraph introducing each of them before the main story begins.

So, the conditions...

- 100 words MAX
- Intro must have at least ONE negative point about your character

The goal for keeping things to 100 words is to focus your character's essence into something concise and digestible, while leaving enough scope for exploration with other parties and players. No exceptions! I'll start with mine.

Seriphyn Inhonores is a Federation officer who passionately believes in the right to self-determination and the principle that the strong should protect the weak. The conscious awareness of his actions as a capsuleer has made him popular amongst Gallente citizens and soldiers alike. However, the high moral standard that Seriphyn sets for himself and his subordinates, as well as his refusal to accept any means-to-an-end moralities, has made him inflexible and even impulsive in the past. Instead, Seriphyn defers concerns for the long-term to politicians, doing what he considers the right thing in the here-and-now.

Anette Inhonores is a Gallentean preteen superstar with a talent for anything from acting to sports. While criticized as being too precocious for her own good, Anette aims to set a standard for girls and boys her age no matter what their social standing. She believes that every human being is the same deep down, and that all have dreams that shouldn't be extinguished by the reality of modern life. Anette will go to any length to show the universe that nothing needs to hold you back, even if she might very well break herself in doing so.

Verin Hakatain is an Ishukone loyalist who is increasingly becoming part of the ultra-Liberal fringe of Caldari society. Verin believes that the Caldari and Minmatar are natural allies with many shared social values, and he hopes to build bridges with the Tribes. Deep down, however, he feels isolated from the culture he served fervently for most of his life, and that he is not a "good Caldari". As a result, he struggles with occasional bouts of depression. He is also prone to a choleric temper, especially towards Federation loyalists, though he is generally good-humoured, and friendly towards people he likes.

Sinikka Hakatain: Unlike her twin Meera, Verin's younger sister Sinikka never fit comfortably into Caldari society for one simple reason: she is asexual, neither romantically inclined toward either gender nor interested in sex. While this is not so taboo in Caldari society as homosexuality, it has still been a source of social alienation for her. Like Verin, she does not feel like a "good Caldari", but is more sanguine about that fact than he is. Having spent years cultivating a thick skin, she can be arrogant to the point of callousness and often refuses to explain herself.

Ando Mevoran - Ando was a playboy and fop even before becoming a capsuleer. His near-unlimited reserves of wealth have only served to fuel his expensive lifestyle and tastes.  Ando will do the minimum necessary work to keep himself living the life of luxury, between temporary "retirements". He is a hedonist and purely selfish in his motives, finding things like politics utterly tedious. Nevertheless, as an Intaki Reborn and follower of the Ida, he can be capable of remarkable insight and wisdom... on the rare occasion that such conversation doesn't bore him.

Hmmm, interseting. I'll play!

Aldrith Shutaq was once court musician, poet and author for the Etranhi Holder family on the Ni-Kunni homeworld of Mishi IV. This idyllic life amongst gentle nobility was cut short after being tested for capsule compatibility, and since then his naïve idealism has led him through a great many trying events. The vast differences between his principles and the realities of capsuleer life have rapidly changed him from a well-spoken intellectual gentleman to a bitter holy warrior fighting for a chivalrous, yet likely dead cause. Even so, his wife and newborn son keep him clinging to hope.

Ger’ante Otheiran is the Grand Master of the Order of the Weeping Sun, an independent cyberknighthood based on Kihtaled IV. He would have the look of a Khanid horseman straight from the ancient steppes of Athra, if only for the fact his body is so heavily modified he is twice the size of any natural man. His fierce look matches his character; though he is a 98-year-old teacher, he is a warrior first. Extremely judgmental and harsh to everyone around him, a constant stream of insults and scolding remarks spill from his mouth. Always with the intent to improve, of course.

Blarg. Touché. This is the main issue with Lyn.

Lynara Marya Farel was once a lonely heir of ammatar noble descent, destined to inherit of an insane crumbling traditionnalist House, leading her to a very secluded passion for books and knowledge. Her SoCT education partially drowned her kindness and ingenuousness into a wicked, visceral quest for knowledge and an extreme detachement to - almost - all things, a strenght as well as a weakness that is all but moderated by her capsuleer status. She believes that galactic stability is the price to evolution and ascension through science, turning her into an inflexible CONCORD vigilantist.

Katrina “Kat” Oniseki is a State-born pure blood Deteis tube-child. She was born directly into a Hyasyoda breeding facility by a surrogate ‘mother’ and raised among other Tube-Children. Kat has never known a natural childhood. These days, so far removed from the familiarity and regimented lifestyle of the State, she's prone to paranoia and insecurity.  She is also fiercely independent, guilt ridden, kind hearted, and insufferably playful. Insatiably curious of other cultures and lifestyles, Kat truly believes and wishes that tolerance and understanding combined with the willingness to learn from different viewpoints could make mass-murdering Capsuleers like her obsolete.

Simca Develon is a Mordu mercenary who is fiercely loyal to and protective of those she cares about. Simca's loyal and caring to those that know her, but she often projects a gruff or smartass demeanor in public. She's generally intolerant of weakness and those that won't stand up for themselves, but is more than willing to help anyone that shows a willingness to learn instead of wanting a hand to hold. Never one to back down from a fight, she's often the last person to leave the field and has no issues with sacrificing herself to save her friends

Post by: Kybernetes Moros on 10 Apr 2012, 05:54
I love this concept. +1 for you.

---

Kybernetes Moros, the son the Moros family really would rather not talk about, is a scientist gradually veering towards progressively more extreme transhumanist philosophies. Less interested in dealing with what he perceives as problems in the human condition and more in excising them, it was in part this mindset that lead him towards Sansha's Nation. While for the most part personable and open-minded with others, this is undermined by sudden shifts in his behaviour; he is nothing if not capricious. Taken alongside his disdain for the status quo, this can produce occasional, if typically self-destructive, moments of hubris and arrogance.

Meanwhile, Renaud Heturaki is for the most part vapid and empty-headed -- unless fashion or parties are involved. Immediately dismissive of politics, scientific pursuit, religion, and so on as "boring", becoming a capsuleer has freed Renaud rather nicely from the issue of making the money that supports his hedonistic tendencies. Although averse to many fringe capsuleer groups such as those representing Sansha's Nation or The Society of Conscious Thought, freely remarking that he finds them creeeeeepy, and evasive of the disregard in which many of his peers hold life, this new capsuleer finds himself wealthy, powerful, and almost entirely self-absorbed.

Kazzzi
A former schoolteacher on Amarr Prime, Kazzzi was fired for using narcotics on campus and for having inappropriate relationships with students.  Unemployed with nowhere else to turn, Kazzzi joined the military. After distinguishing himself in the Amarrian Light Marines, Kazzzi was selected for capsuleer training.

Kazzzi has given many reasons for betraying the Empire, most of which have been proven to be outright fanciful lies.

Unknown to all but a few close confidants, Kazzzi doesn't give a damn about slaves, but will exploit the passions of freedom fighters to suit his own agendas.

Rogue Steel
Kazzzi's spoiled and rebellious daughter. Can often be found tanning, maxing out her dad's credit cards and creating new death cults.

Fattyfatty Dingdong
Real name, Tom Benko

Tom is Kazzzi's corporate attorney. His unorthadox litigation methods have proven to be very effective. Tom has recently enrolled in substance abuse counciling for cheeseburger addiction.

Tiberious Thessalonia was a boring, steadfast Amarrian liberal of the burgeoning middle class who decided to become a SpaceTheologian.  He worked really hard to try to find common ground with other cultures and peoples, and in the process lost his connection with his own.  He then shoved a slightly different version of his own infomorph into his head, combining himself with himself.  Shortly after, he decided that humanity needed to be forced to act rightly.  He's probably a bit crazy, now that I think about it.

Post by: Vieve on 10 Apr 2012, 12:23
Some Federation records state that Vieve Tisserand was a child with severe perception and communication disorders who died in an accident on Mies III. One or more of the following hypotheses may explain all evidence that contradicts these records. 1Gerrard DuNord, YC111 (http://community.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=966012&page=1#24)

When Sabette was last publicly alive, she was arguably the most normal of the Fauconnier-Tisserand sisters; sharing little in common with her hypothetical sibling except for what may be a casual relationship with death. She was centered, focused, and perhaps faithful to the point of martyrdom, a flaw that earned her the same SDII-directed execution as her now-not-so-deceased husband Zagamesh, even if there is very little anyone can point to which brands her a traitor. Those few who knew her may speak of her warm humorous personality that concealed a mind as analytical as her mother's.

A number of words beginning with the letter 'C' have been used to describe Celeste Fauconnier. 'Complicated' may be the most accurate: when she surfaces from concealment, this former Miesian debutante turned Senate science policy analyst turned capsuleer scientist/attorney moves in some curious collaborative circles. Cold or charming, cordial or calculating, the countenance Celeste wears during any conversation may seem dictated by the calculus of a ruthlessly capricious nature, or the callus forming around the not-wholly corrupted core of someone who comprehends all too well how little conscience is of consequence to the cluster.

Post by: BloodBird on 10 Apr 2012, 12:49
Alexander Kamyú Allisieer was a Intaki traditionalist and ardent Federation supporter who valued social liberty, equality, tradition, peace and order as epitomes of civilization. He believed the Federation to be the best, yet flawed, collective display of these virtues and the cluster's greatest hope. He grew to hate enemies of this goal, like pirate groups, The Sansha, anti-social religious cults and tendencies against social order. Loyalty was the most respected virtue, traitors were treated with contempt and revulsion. The Human condition, along with cultural diversity and freedom was sacred, thus he respected different opinions, even "enemy" beliefs and practices.

BloodBird was Alexander's Call-sign and upon his suicide he left a "caretaker" persona to reside over his previous existence, believing the loss of a Capsuleer's assets, ships and potential was wasteful. BloodBird was born a Tabula Rasa in the body of a deceased person, with no personality, memory or trait's shared with his predecessor. Suffering a condition termed "Radio noise", he occasionally experience feelings, sensations and memories that are provenly not his own. This cripples his capabilities for social interaction, chaining him to his sleeping corporation. He has developed idealistic, naive, inquisitive and helpful traits despite this negative situation.

Arivana Faersto was born to a Gallente mining family and raised on a airless, barren, industrial mining world. While studying in the CAS she met Alexander Allisieer and befriended him. At her graduation months after her only friend she endeavored to assist him any way she could and have been at his side ever since, enjoying her work and his gratitude for her loyalty and constant dedication. She maintained a carefree, dedicated and happy personality despite practically enslaving herself to her friends at personal cost. Allisieer's death left her feeling betrayed, abandoned as thanks for her dedicated loyalty.

Jesmine Aerim Kyriel is a devout Amarrian Imperialist. She holds that forcing people to accept the Empire's religion at gun-point is a flawed tactic that wastes generations of human souls and seeks a volunteer-based system of spreading the faith. She hates the idea that faithless slaves and free-men alike reside in the Empire and wasted no chance to banish or execute proven transgressors. These ideals combined with lacking political experience saw her exiled from the Empire and she now administrates an enclave of faithful Amarr and Minmatar in Republic space. Despite this her Faith, and Imperial loyalty, remains strong.

Might add some of my NPC's here later. There are not many of them, and even fewer that yet live.

Repentence Tyrathlion is a Holder on Khanid Prime and former Angel Cartel employee.  Although she is known to have suffered from a severe form of disassociative identity disorder, she is generally regarded as a sane and forward-thinking member of Kingdom society, noted for her liberal (if anti-emancipationist) views towards slavery.  She currently operates Tyrathlion Interstellar, a semi-independent group primarily dedicated to combating Sansha's Nation.  Although she is a controversial individual on her homeworld, the rumours of heresy and continued links to criminals are generally considered to be fallacious.  She has an apparently stable relationship with TYRIN director Morwen Lagann.

Post by: kalaratiri on 10 Apr 2012, 16:18
Kalaratiri Saskia comes from an agricultural background, not what you'd expect from a capsuleer. Her early life was spent tending and fixing the farming machinery with her brothers and sisters. After her parents scraped together the money to send her to the local University, she promptly horrified them by instead applying to the Republic University capsuleer program. Shortly after graduating, she discovered the Gradient corporation, where she met Ava Starfire and Kikia Truzhari as well as many others, who she remains good friends with. After a little under a year  in Gradient, she, Ava, and Kiki formed the Teraa Matar corporation as a way of taking a more active role in the war against the Amarr. Kala started dating Kiki at around the same time. Eight months later, Kala and Kiki are no longer dating, and Ava and Kala have moved on to another self-created corp, Skadi's Call.

Will add more later, got interrupted halfway through this.

EDIT: As above :l

EDIT: I actually finished it!

Post by: Ava Starfire on 10 Apr 2012, 18:56
Ava Starfire was born and raised in a traditional nomadic Clan in the remote Ko'mak region of Mikramurka, Matar. After joining the Republic Navy at 18 and a period as a POW in the Ammatar Mandate, Ava made a series of bad life choices and legal entanglements resulted. While receiving a routine checkup for her Vitoxin infection, she was determined to be capsule compatible. Ava has been in a few organizations since, and has become a very skilled frigate and AF pilot. She currently fights for the TLF alongside a few friends in Skadi's Call. Ava is curious about other people, but short-tempered, which often leads to misunderstanding.

Edit: The ALT!

Kyllsa Siikanen was born in Ko'mak, Mikramurka. When Kyllsa was a mere seven years old, her mother died from cancer, her father had disappeared several years before, and Kyllsa was "adopted" by the Clan shaman, Mati. When Kyllsa was 15, she and Mati were walking across a river in early spring when the ice gave way; both drowned, but Kyllsa was ressucitated shortly afterwards. Kyllsa immediately assumed the responsibilities as Clan shaman, and now, still a baseliner, works with Skadi's Call as a diplomat and counselor. Kyllsa is stoic, often distant, and introspective, leading others to see her as unfriendly.

Also, hee, incase anyone wasn't sure who I am ...

(Ar-Rasheed) Safai Amané Ardishapur is an enigmatic old lady who keeps her pre-capsule history vague. While softly spoken, genuine and well meaning, it's known that she is devoutly footed in EOM and her upbringing left her rather narrow minded and very naive of other cultures beyond her cult. Despite this she is friendly and charitable, and provides spiritual counselling to those of her faith. An ardent critic of the royal Ardishapur family, it is also implied she is a descendent of Ocilan Ardishapur, but whether this is the case or merely namesake is unknown. Shortly ago, she discovered and fell in love with coffee.

Silas Vitalia is a highborn True Amarr and self-proclaimed sovereign of an insular Sani Sabik power cult. Decades of military service in the RKN and a reputation as a conservative supporter of Khanid II were eventually no match for the corrupting influences and temptations of the illicit side of capsuleer life. Born to a Holder family on Khanid Prime, Silas is highly educated in Amarrian court politics and society life, and thoroughly uneducated in how the ‘other half’ lives.  Silas respects strength of conviction and character, and abhors weakness in any form.  Silas can be charming, polite, and witty to a fault.. but also scheming, vindictive, and dismissive of ‘inferiors.’

Post by: Saikoyu on 11 Apr 2012, 10:14
Oh why not, Sai and company.  I have another alt, plus one more in the making, but I've never fleshed out their backstory enough.

Siakoyu Eblis-Kad is an Amarr and former Imperial citizen currently living in the Republic.  While raised in a traditional Amarrian setting, as an adult she has rejected both the Amarrian faith and their practice of slavery.  She also has worked toward the liberation of all slaves in several programs over her career, usually within the law, but she has stepped into illegal and immoral practices to further her goals.  Generally a peaceful individual, she prefers to not fight in ships, caring too much for her crews, but may go to extreme lengths with only her own life.

Sako Yatori is a Khanid cyberknight and citizen of the Khanid Kingdom.  Unlike the popular image of cyberknights, Sako spends most of her time running a planet side armament corporation passed on to her from her mother’s side of the family.  Her capsuler work is mostly focused on paying back an unspecified debt she owes to Saikoyu.  Sako has been described as polite but cold, and very ruthless.  In fact, some have accused her of being a Sansha drone with her attitude.  In private life she is highly skilled with the pole arm, but does not demonstrate this skill often.

A’kua is a Brutor and former slave who was rescued by Saikoyu, and who now lives with her in the Republic.  While Saikoyu is more discrete about their relationship, A’kua will openly admit the two are lovers.  Well adjusted for a former slave, A’kua splits her time between managing Rho Dynamics, learning about her people, dancing, and spending time with Saikoyu.  She has never seen much combat, and tends to glorify it, and this, with her runaway enthusiasm is her only major weakness.

Chantal D'len is a Gallente national currently living in the Minmatar Republic.  In her youth before the Empire Wars, she took several foreign study courses in the other empires, including the Empire, which is where she first met Saikoyu .  A slacker, Chantel is only interested in the pleasures of life, and fell in with Saikoyu as she was a person willing to employ someone with such a work ethic.  Chantel is highly sexual and will hit on anyone.  She also has a bad habit of talking about past partners in sometimes uncomfortable detail.

kikia Truzhari is a transgendered, Gallente born Sebiestor. She left the Federation at a young age, enrolling in the Republic University Capsuleer program. Upon graduation she sought out her matari heritage, eventually finding her way to Avlynka Surionen, who became her shaman, clanmate, and friend. In late YV113 she was accepted as the apprentice shaman of her clan. Currently CEO of Teraa Matar, Kiki is a driven, fiery young women, dedicated to fighting for her people, and ending the war; working to build a better world for her daughter.

Eventually finding and joining fellow anarchists in Stimulus.

Post by: Norrin Ellis on 13 Apr 2012, 01:30
Norrin Ellis is a native of Gallente Prime.  Born into a wealthy family, he's lived a particularly sheltered, privileged life, rendering him rather naive to the harsher realities of the cluster.  Norrin is friendly and frivolously generous, and while he's superficially personable, he finds close relationships rather challenging due to his reclusive tendencies.  Norrin's political positions are essentially neutral; he often fails to identify friends or foes by class affiliations, with the sole exception of Sansha's Nation, which he despises on religious grounds.  Norrin has a soft spot for starcakes and pretty faces, and may be easily influenced by both.

Post by: Ghost Hunter on 13 Apr 2012, 03:20
The enigmatic overseer of the True Slave Foundations, Ghost Hunter is best known for his vast efforts in furthering the goals of Sansha's Nation. Articulate and worldly, he uses his knowledge to educate the greater cluster on the true value of Sansha Kuvakei's messianic messages. Ghost Hunter's text book-esque etiquette often serves as a facade to hide his dangerously unerring commitment to the cause he champions. To many he may appear as a gentleman and scholar; those who oppose him soon see the fathomless depths of his fanaticism.

And main character #2...

The Integrator Yeliana is one of the many Integrators within the True Slave Foundations. She is particularly note worthy for her leadership of the Foundations' Synthetics, or vat grown humans. Reportedly the first Synthetic created by the Foundations, her normally reclusive life style has changed since her move into Capsuleerdom. Yeliana rarely bothers with those outside of Sansha's Nation, finding such beings a menacing anomaly in her perfect world. The few she does engage with have the good fortune of avoiding her scathing hatred of their disorderly existence.

Desiderya Kyiokkinen is a driven, articulate and independant caldari patriot, seeing and acknowledging both the merits and shortcomings of the political changes over the last few years. She values determination, loyality and consistency as most important qualities and can be highly judgemental of those who she perceives as falling short in these. Despite regularily trying to get the better of it she owns a fiery temper. Two failings in the recent six months, professional and personal, have made her a significantly more bitter person.

He usually found himself in trouble, but excelled in all academics. Upon graduation, he promptly chartered a shuttle to the State and vowed never to return to Matar. It wasn't until after many years of military service that Korbin earned his State citizenship, and eventually became a capsuleer. Istvaan Shogaatsu is a Caldari-born capsuleer of some notoriety, primarily for the multiple criminal acts tied to his name and organization, the Guiding Hand Social Club. While outwardly presenting as a conservative and harmless Caldari businessman, he is known to be utterly amoral and without loyalty to anyone but his inner circle of fellow cut-throats, and the vicious Slaver-hound ever-present at his side. With thirteen-figure assets and sizable holdings in all empires, Shogaatsu operates just outside the grasp of CONCORD, always seemingly multiple steps ahead of any attempt to bring him to justice.

Maninder 'Mammal' Tafren is an Intaki disciple and teacher of the Ida. He is the son of an Intaki diplomat and raised partly on the Essence planet of Renyn and partly on Khanid Prime while his father was posted there. He has spent much of his capsuleer career rediscovering his Intaki roots, though has served two stints in the Federal Capsuleer Militia. He believes in the preservation of the Intaki language and culture and that impassioned and logical following of the Ida, were it to become widespread, would cure the ills of the cluster.

Valdezi Sun'kar is a Khanid cybernight and the child of Khanid anti-slavery activists. He has a strong sense of chivalric honour, and this guides many of his actions. However, he also spends a great deal of time pursuing his twin passions, women and whiskey, both of which he likes strong. He has a surviving sister, on whom he dotes, and he also treats some of the women in his life with tender sisterly affection. Val has a biting wit, and while he is often called to bite his tongue as Ishukone-Raata diplomat, he does enjoy throwing out barbed insults from time to time.

The other characters are either inactive, not very interesting, or sekrit.

Jev North is a deranged infomorph, and quite proud of it. Prone to mood swings and random acts of piracy, although her demeanor is rather more mild in person. She appears to have some kind of neurological damage that causes ataxia of her legs, and is never seen without some kind of cane when out of pod. Grins a lot, despite claiming to be easily bored. She used to be a former Caldari militia capsuleer, and is suspected by some to've switched sides to the Angel Cartel in connection with a serious war crime in the Black Rise theatre.

Makkal Hanaya is a young noblewoman from a small clan in the Kingdom. Her sheltered upbringing dissolved when she became a capsuleer and encountered a galaxy much wilder and stranger than she imagined. Though pious and proper, Makkal’s emotions and impulses often get the better of her. She moved to Caldari space to be away from the judging eyes (and tongues) of the Empire while staying in a structured, duty-bound environment, and then grounded herself when even that proved too difficult.

Recently, Makkal returned to active duty. Though what that means for her is anyone’s guess.

An escaped, rescued, and subsequently freed slave with a mysterious benefactor, Mynxee has been described variously by others as charming, tough, skeptical, soft-hearted, introspective, opinionated, loyal, rebellious, and impetuous.  After attaining capsuleer status, outlaw life and a stint in politics left her disillusioned. In YC113, she retreated planet-side for study and contemplation. She returned in YC116 to find meaning among the stars.  In YC117, she co-founded and is CEO of a peaceful exploration-focused corporation. Currently she conducts wormhole-related research. She maintains a kennel of soft-tempered miniature slaver hounds at her planet-side estate, where she retreats regularly to recharge.

My my, how things change.

This is now so out of date as to be faintly embarrassing, so I'm going to create an updated version for comparison.

After three and a half years of working with Republic aligned corporations, Kala became disillusioned after the Minmatar attack on Colelie and the death of Karin Midular. She headed out into nullsec on a journey of self discovery which lasted almost a year. On her return to the capsuleer community, Kala immediately joined the Cartel aligned Corporation URIEL and publicly announced her loyalty to the Angels. She now resides in the Caldari PMC Pyre Falcon Defense and Security, where she was officially welcomed to the Cartel by Vincent Price.

Ché Biko hoped to build a better world after graduating as a capsuleer, a peaceful nation where he and others like him could feel at home. After several years, he now finds himself in Origin, which may be his best chance of seeing his dreams come true, but he has lost a lot of his hope and motivation, and spends a lot of time in solitude, internal conflict rendering him inert. He often feels lost and out of place, and starts to suspect this may be something that will never go away.

Aria Jenneth is the amnesiac remnant of her infamous former self, possessing all the original's intellectual knowledge but essentially no personal memories. She's curious, perceptive, and eager to learn, but emotionally unguarded and easily upset. She's a moral relativist, and more interested in the reasons for things than in right or wrong. She keeps a public record of her travels and observations, partly to attract further comments and insight, but also because it makes her feel less isolated and lonely.

Lyn Farel was born on a remote oceanic world in the Ammatar Mandate and raised as a very nosy and mousy single child by a demented mother in a decaying aristocratic entourage. She took refuge into a literal craving for knowledge of every kind, which got exacerbated by the HyCon program of the Society of Conscious Thought and turned her into a very permeable blank sheet. Struggling to find a meaning and purpose in her life, she literally absorbs everything and proves to be very suggestible, especially by the few people close to her. She remains however deeply introverted and tends to bask into her condition of social misfit, and often proves incapable to acquire any strong sense of morality.

Quattras Peione is a State Navy veteran and author of several War Academy training manuals. He is eloquent, amiable, and highly educated, the public face of his family's charitable organization. However, he has also developed a reputation for ruthlessness both in business dealings and in combat. He practices his own "reformed" variant on the Amarrian faith, advocating governmental reform and the abolition of ethnic slavery. Dr. Peione's radical beliefs have turned to revolutionary extremism on occasion, making him a bitter rival to a number of influential State citizens and an outright enemy of fundamentalist conservatives within the Empire.

Annette Shimaya is a former employee of the Peione Foundation and the daughter of a disgraced holder. As with all Foundation employees she was tested for capsule compatibility after a year of employment and her training sponsored directly by Dr. Peione. She is fiercely loyal to Quattras, secretly harboring deep jealousy of his wife. She was a spoiled child and is inclined to fits of rage, often making rash decisions without consideration for potential consequences.

Robert Criere-Geng was a crew chief for capsuleer pilot Deuce Halcyon before tests showed him to be capsule-compatible. He was immediately reassigned to Baked Tuna, a subsidiary of the Halcyon-Peione joint operation Gentlemen of Fortune [4TUNA]. His role has since been relegated to occasional scouting duties. He is friendly and charming, but generally lazy and unreliable. His inclination to substance abuse has landed him in rehabilitation facilities several times over the course of his career.

Keira “Kairelle” Vykos is a former Caldari Marine sniper, and current head of the Raven Conglomerate along with her brother. Her memory is full of fragments of a life she knows nothing about save for her dreams and a faint feeling of familiarity with certain people. “Born” in NOH facilities yet also having strong ties to KK she is searching for her place in society and in space. Though a natural combat pilot she is also actively involved in her corporation’s research projects and holds advanced degrees in cybernetics and robotics.

Jaden “Karaisu” Vykos is Keria’s brother…older by a minute and never letting her forget it. He handles the day to day tasks of running Raven Conglomerates business interests. A former Caldari Marine himself Jaden is not one to shy away from a fight, but usually lets his sister take care of blowing things up while he concentrates on logistics profit margins.

* I say born, but both of my characters are tube children despite being Civire.

Saede Riordan is member of the Sgathiach clan of the Sebiestor tribe. A former member of the Angel Cartel, Saede left the angels after the destruction of Rilnais and is currently the CEO of the Alexylva Paradox, a capsuleer corporation controlling and colonizing the Origin solar system in Anoikis. Saede has since taken a path of radical transhumanism, and seeks to create a better world for all of humanity. Her work in robotics, cloning, cybernetics, and mindlinking has already begun to yield strange and fantastic results. Saede currently lives in Origin with the rest of her clan.
