Title: Merry Christmas!
Post by: Andreus Ixiris on 25 Dec 2011, 02:32
Whether you celebrate Hannukah, Christmas, the Winter Solistice, Festivus or you just say "Happy Holidays", have a wonderful <insert Winter celebration here> and best wishes to you and your <designated human bonding group>!

Happy Holidays.

(Summer ones here, actually, Andreus: another consideration to apply to your inclusivity list. :P )

Happy Hearth's Warming Eve?

what about new years?

In Scotland, traditionally, New Years was far more important than Christmas.
If someone says "happy new year" before the new year, it is bad luck unless you reply "when it comes"
If it is the first time you see someone after the new year, even if it is already mid-late January, saying "happy new year" was customary.

Happy new years then, ye pantswearin' mother's boy/lass.

Anyweh... happy whatever. Just take the non-denominational/specific greeting for what it is. Loving and tolerating the shit out of whoever is reading it. Well, except furries.

You don't have to subscribe to the solstice(s).   It happens for everyone on Earth whether they celebrate it or not and occurred before humanity existed.

Whether or not people realize it, those celebrating are celebrating the solstice regardless of how they dress the event up and what add-ons they attribute to the various dates close to it.

I hope everyone had a good winter/summer holiday of their choice, and all got much loot and love.

And happy new year.
