Gallente Independent Progressive Alternative is going to celebrate its foundation with a gala evening.
It is supposed to be a get-together for all of those who have a hand in Federal politics, one way or the other. Some program and refreshments might also be available.
The preliminary date is Saturday 16th of April, 7 PM/19:00 EVE time, which is in the afternoon in North and South America and around the midnight in Europe and Africa.
if this date doesn't seem to work for anyone, the Sunday 17th or next weekend 23rd-24th are also conceivable. The in-character announcement will appear in the Intergalactic Summit, once the date has been fixed, probably no later than the during the next weekend 9th-10th of April.
I would like to hear
-which corporations might be interested in sending representatives
-if there's interference with other events at the same time
-if anyone could help with the program (difficulty L1, reward massive)
-if the planned location in Villore (sec status 0.5) causes you trouble

Time as-is works fine for me, might have to figure something out involving the location, though. Silly highsec. >.>

To be more accurate, the UK is on BST now. GMT doesn't change -- you're just not on GMT anymore.

I'd certainly like to make a case to be there in one form or fashion either way. I'm sure we can make a case for having a hand in Federation politics.

Thanks to everyone for swift and positive response. This helps us a lot with the program.
I'm now confirming the time and date to be the original Saturday 16th of April, 7PM/19:00 EVE time, because it seems to be fine for a number of players and allows the organizing committee to go forward with the preparations. My deepest apologies for everyone who cannot make it. I hope we can celebrate together on the Federation day.
The original post was made to check the timing and to find out whether other role-players might be interested to show up or should the program be targeted to the local travellers. The official announcement and invitations are now underway. Feel free to remind me to send an invitation either here, in IGS or in-game.
Addendum:
To answer some concerns, I want to add that this is really supposed to be what it sounds like. We have no credibility to loose and I think it's really vital for us as a political party to establish positive diplomatic ties to other groups on this stage.

British Summer Time is not GMT. 1900 EVE time is 1900 GMT, 2000 BST and 2100 CET.

Sorry to hear that, it would have been great to meet you there.
Please let me emphasize that the purpose of the Gala is not to label anyone as a supporter of our brand of politics.
The motivation for attendance could be for instance curiosity - are we possibly proposing to cut military spending? - or visibility - it's a good chance for the participants to promote their own agendas.
The general themes are related to freedom and Federation and at least the organizers are going to avoid detailed discussion on specific issues to keep the atmosphere relatively impartial.
