Joining I-RED was the best decision I made this year!

Indeed

2 years of diplomatic work amounts for nothing in the end. Not that I am to worried at this time.

Dropping corp was painful (as everyone in any OOC channel got to hear an earful from me about at the time), but it was an IC decision put in front of me, and I knew at once that there was only one path 'Graelyn' would have chosen.

I wouldn't worry too much, John. When all the drama subsides, your work will still bear fruit, I should think.

I was completely fascinated with this.  IC we didn't have any choice though, but I imagine at whatever point those awful gallente move on we could patch things up right as rain. :)

Will see how it turns out. Btw LDIS reset us last night as well.. then I seen Dex in Wolfies home system *laser eyes*

Things are getting interesting, I like that we are being pushed toward Gallente aid. Will see how long we can hold out against the FEDO silver tongue.

I feel like I'm totally missing something.

Is this on the IGS?

You know, first, I noticed Graelyn had joined I-RED, and I was like 'the hell?' It made sense though.

Then, I noted MXD had joined, and again, 'the hell?' - it too made sense.

Then this entire diplomatic shit-storm hit and I laughted.

And now you made this hillarious post, simply to ice the cake :D

Good going man, good going. Gald your still around.

Earlier today I had a brief 'Andreus Ixiris, Gallente, Mixed Metaphor, Ishuk-Raata Enf..WHAT THE DEUCE' moment. It was very enjoyable. :)

Been in and out of there for a couple of months.  Don't worry, potential customers shot at us every now and then.

I definitely had a good laugh at this, both OOC when it first happened, IC when I found out about it, and just now when I saw this thread. Lucky for me I can look at something which should make me crack up and barely even smile, 'cuz I'm at work :P

Anyhow, well done.

Congratulations all on the dynamic developments.

I actually enjoy the idea of being "The Fool (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Fool_%28Tarot_card%29)" (yes, since you asked, every joke about this has already been made): a person who always manages to cause disorder - beneficial or detrimental to himself - just by being himself.

Hugs to all participants and observers.  I'm learning a lot about why I'm not in politics  :P.

But it is good fun, and as Jade put it, 'dynamic'.

Andy, that most recent topic of yours points out why the Christian heaven would eventually prove to be punishment.

Utopia is boring.

To quote the angels...Perfection ain't all its cracked up to be.

Or you might consider that complete self-absorption by its nature is isolating.  Once needs are met, and even most conceivable desires are met, if those desires don't become all-engrossing or destructive, the mind seeks to place itself in its setting.  The need arises for 'higher purpose'.  And I don't restrict that to the concept of a utopian heaven or blissful afterlife, but a broad notion of something greater than oneself, and a purpose to strive for, including such concepts as Group Survivial, Freedom from oppression, Service to a Deity, Duty in an Honour System.  The list is as big as your imagination.

Each of the factions have their ways of addressing this element of the human psyche.  I suspect Andreus may find his own way to addressed it too.  ;)
