Nice!  I took a couple for Simon and he came out pretty much as I expected.  He thinks of himself as a rebel against his upbringing, but really he's just kind of greedy and fairly traditional to boot.  His terrible, terrible rating in self-reflection is a contributing factor.

Hm. For me, I find the value lies in thinking about the questions, rather than the answers.

I took the test as myself, though, and while the final result hasn't changed in years, the percentages have. I suspect I'm getting softer as I age. ;)

That seems about right for both of us. I had to take one of these for a college class I'm in today so it'll be interesting to see how the results I get from the actual test will compare to this one.

Update: According to the one I took at school I am an ENTP. After reading about it it does seem to fit as well. I only got the E over the I by one point so I consider myself to be a bit of both I guess.

Coincidentally, it's the same result I get when doing the test from my perspective. Istvaan was basically designed to be a slightly more sexy me from the get-go, so I kinda expected this.

For Inara using this  (http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes2.asp)site, she was a INTJ- The Mastermind (http://keirsey.com/handler.aspx?s=keirsey&f=fourtemps&tab=5&c=mastermind). The one linked here was... quite a bit different than Inara actually is for some reason; had her as a boarderline ESTJ and ISTJ and she's not either of those really.

Me personally at the same site was also INTJ, but very different percentages (and I forgot to write Inara's down or get a screenshot, but it was lower I, N, and T, but quite a bit higher J percentage). This surprised me a bit, I was guessing I'd fall more under the INTP, but I guess I learned something about myself.

Self-testing using the Keirsey method doesn't work properly. As truthfully as you think you've answered, it's not always 100%. The mind plays with you and you answer a lot of the questions how you think you should.
Try it more than once for yourself and you'll get different answers each time.

I think it works... in many ways Master Mechanics/Fabricators are "artists".

I had to do this in RL for work and I ended up an ENTJ... so I guess I must be doing something right to end up an ISFP IC.

Cause role-playing, apparently, is not playing yourself.. or is it?  ;)  Mainly Ari is more arrowhead straight aout things and totally agreed eith a lot more stuff than 'partially agreed' ( :Amarr: ) but about 1/3 of the questions had idential answers (cause theres always a bit of all of us in each of our characters - and as someone pointed out, your answers can shift... "rolepaying" - we are STILL that person, just making differe decisions based on different backgrounds and decided strengths and weaknesses and outside influences... turns into "me if I was a spaceman".  Hence why the answers to these will change (as someone said) for a normal persn doing them and the answers shiting from month to month -- I think also partially depending what happened in that 4 week span, etc - a "weak" person finally deciding to be more assertiove etc will wildly swing the chart (Ari is me in MANY ways, just "more me" and suddenly it turned her/me into an extrovert? etc.. reinds me ore of me when I was leading groups in college, etc.  Loud, foot down on the rules, yet helping people be better people. etc.)

Also the full test is WAY more than 50 questions.  Ths is more of a 'generalized" test, if I'm rememebring right.

Actually if I was honest, Veikitamo as a character I would say is an INTJ (http://www.16personalities.com/intj-personality). In terms of her background, she grew up as a very introverted personality. She didn't socialize, she played video games, she watched Caldari anime or whatever, she read books, she loved to study and learn. This is reflected in her chosen fields of work prior to being a capsuleer: she was an electronic warfare technician in the Navy, then a tactical space controller/forward observer as a Marine, then she worked in a HR investigative unit in the POU, then she was a corporate lawyer for SuVee. All her chosen fields required her to learn new skills -- technical or otherwise -- or required high degrees of problem solving capabilities whether it was prying apart ciphers, enumerating and penetrating FTL networks, or psychologically evaluating her fellow human beings.

What makes her interesting as a character is how often people mistake her surface details as truth without realizing she isn't a woman who wears her heart on her sleeve, and how where they see contradiction they fail to understand the rational connexions in her thoughts that do not make them so.

Some say Veikitamo is interested only in material wealth, yet they fail to realize that the times she does display wealth whether in her dress or abode her intent is not display wealth but the power that wealth represents. Her actual place of residence she feels comfortable in is actually quite austere and isn't much larger than a college dormitory consisting usually only of a bed to sleep in and a desk to do her work at.

Some say Veikitamo is a liar, yet she is always brutally honest and without affectation when she speaks on a variety of topics in public. If someone called her a murderer, she would say yes she is. If someone said she pursues profit, she would say yes she does, she's a businesswoman.

Some say Veikitamo is a cynic, but she is also deeply idealistic about her personal Wayist philosophy and retains a deep love of her family, Kaalakiota, and the Caldari people. Her cynicism is premised on her evaluation that the majority of humanity does not have the necessary qualities to operate on her own level.

There was a social experiment once done where a group of children were offered a marshmellow and told they have two options: they can eat that one marshmellow now, or they can choose to wait 15 minutes and be guaranteed to have two marshmellows. Over 80% of the children ate the one marshmellow then and there. You know what happened when they came back to visit that test group years later? The 20% that endured that 15 minutes with that delicious marshmellow in front of them to be guaranteed 2 marshmellows later scored far higher than the other 80% as adults in terms of career success, financial independence, and personal happiness.

Veikitamo is a woman who will gladly endure short term pains for long term gains, and that's a function of the fact that her critical and strategic thinking is always able to suppress her own personal feelings and desires. That, I think is why there is often so much misunderstanding between Veikitamo and other characters, because looking through this thread so many seem to score mid-high on the scale of personal feeling and emotion that a character who is able only to view the world in the amoral axioms of power and interests as fundamentally difficult to understand or connect with.

Sums him up quite right. Didn't think that he will turn up a little emo on the inside, but I guess it makes sense. He is rebellious against the system, loyal to his standards, polite and caring on the outside but only because he understands how screwed up the whole world is in terms of fairness and justice. Elmund Egivand, at the start was an INTJ. However, after dealing with all the nonsense that inundates the cluster, it seems that he has developed into a...ISTJ:

Not very different from his INTJ roots, it seems. I guess it's true though. Elmund cares not for feelings, he cares about correctness and facts. That's why when he does get into an argument he does not state opinions. He states facts, as accurate as he knows. If the facts are wrong, he admits that they are wrong and seeks to make it right and comes back later with more accurate facts. He is also surprisingly rigid when it comes to personal values and doing things *wrong* bothers him to no end. He is very sensitive to suffering wrought by cognitive dissonance and seeks to avoid soiling his conscience at all cost, even if it means he will not be happy about the results in the end.

When it comes to organising the baseliners who live and die by his every decision, he is a stickler for protocols, especially those that he put in place to make sure nobody dies for no good reason. However, I played Elmund to be willing to take a certain amount of risks instead of being a rules-stickler all the time, especially in terms of combat. I guess this is a natural development, since the willingness to take some risk is a learnt behaviour, rather than a natural one. Moreover, when it comes to taking risks, he likes to make sure he knows exactly what he is getting and actually plots a bell-curve graph in his head and deduced exactly where on this curve the encounter he is warping into is on (he is not always right though. I dare say he is wrong more times than right).

He fricking hates leadership roles and likes autonomy, hence why he still isn't a corp, I guess? That, and the fact that he hasn't found himself in an institution worth being part of, or he has found one but due to his rigid notions of 'being able to actually contribute something', he hasn't signed up yet (and is working on making himself qualified and capable of actually contributing something). That also explains why he sticks to the Minmatar people and his Clan in general but won't hesitate to criticise the shortcomings of the Republic (or any organisations, really) if he felt that it's warranted. However, even if he is a part of an organisation with rigid hierarchy, do not expect the guy to follow unquestioningly. He questions everything and puts loyalty on causes rather than people. If the people he works with does things he does not agree with, he will be vocal about his misgivings, and if the people who leads him is an arsehole, he will either tell him, right in his face, that he is an arsehole, and will most likely actually leave for good.

Finally, he is a one-woman man and will turn down unwanted romantic advances at every turn. I don't envision him being involved in capsuleer romance plot tumour drama for this reason.

By the way, for a ISTJ, he improvises. Alot. Jury-rigging, creative use of shaped charges, using ships the way they aren't supposed to be used, he will do all of these if it gets the job done. Just expect him to spend hours apologising to the machines he abused so blatantly afterwards.

He still switches back to his INTJ roots very often.

Edit: Actually, no. I retook the test in another website and turns out that the result places Elmund firmly in INTJ. This explains why he will question authority even if he becomes part of a respectable organisation whenever he has cause to and he places far less value on emotional sensitivity and more on *being right* and *doing things right* and *having things right*, and he is really blunt about it. Also the thing about him already simulated all the possible ways an encounter could go before engaging in a fight.

I think this is fairly accurate with an emphasis on the I and the P. Persephone is actually a very caring, optimistic and emotional person, but she keeps to herself. She prefers watching and listening (she spends a lot of time cloaked in space or idling in chat channels gathering intel) but will step in if she thinks she can help mediate a situation. Persephone also has a lot of strongly held principles which she holds herself to, but she doesn't seek to impose them on anyone else.
