Southern meaning?  *blinks*  I'm from the Pacific Northwest - I don't know "southern" stuff.  Enlighten me?

I offer sugar when folks don't like tea?

In the South, "sugar" also means "affection". All of my grandmothers, God rest their souls, always used to say, "c'mere and gimme some sugar" when I'd visit them as a child.
