http://community.eveonline.com/news/news-channels/world-news/breaking-news-heths-ship-spotted-in-black-rise/
Okagaiken – Ships whose transponder callsigns match those of Tibus Heth and other Provist loyalists who'd escaped the Haatomo siege were detected in the Okagaiken system of Black Rise's Urpiken constellation. the Caldari Navy has reported. The Navy immediately scrambled a task force to intercept Heth's ship, but they were unable to locate any trace of it after a 24-hour search.
The Navy has deployed further forces to Urpiken in an effort to track down Heth, but Federal Defence Union occupation of several systems in the constellation have hampered efforts. The Navy has urged Caldari loyalists to be diligent and immediately report any sightings of Heth or ships piloted by members of the Templis Dragonaurs.

Heth capture event as 'reward' for Caldari taking control of Black Rise/the warzone? :p

interesting development
-
Do we get him if we sweep the region? :B

Spoiler: First data from a sensor sweep! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KtE1jtZL2iU).

See this makes no sense. Why would the FDU hamper efforts to capture Heth, they want him dead as much as anyone... :bash:
-
Oh hey. More Caldari events.

On a related note. I don't think this is a challenge to sieze the warzone. Knowing Calmil as I do (organisation + cooperation), I think
you'll be waiting a very long time.
Perhaps Urpiken.

Oh hey. More Caldari events.
*More RP events.
That's what matters.
None of us here are Caldari.
None of us here are Amarrian.
None of us here are Minmatar.
None of us here are Gallente.
We're roleplayers, and anything that happens across the game should be a boon for us.
The development of our game universe should be paramount, not bean-counting factional points.
Now everybody love each other, realise we're all on the same side, and get along.
What's good for any faction is good for the storyline is good for us.
Let's not turn this thread into another microcosm of FW RP.
-
Too lazy to find a where's Waldo pic, find Waldo, and replace him with Heth in Photoshop.
-
Please don't find him til evening EDT, please don't find him til evening EDT...fuck it.
DEPLOYING SCOPE
-
"Papparazzi drive Heth to fatal collision with asteroid."
And hey, apparently CalMil just got TEST in their corner. So that's an event that transpired.

True, but some things are self-evident:
In short: More butthurt! :cube:

I'm sure Diana Kim is all happy and gathering up her arms about this bit of news.
Either way, I don't care if it's another Caldari event. One, it's another event to participate in. Two, it's probably leading up to the closure of the Caldari arc of the live events. All in all, I'm just glad to see another one starting up.

that would be awesome actually......

We're working on it.

IC, I totally respect the "let the Caldari handle it" thing.
but OH GOD I WANT THE SCOPE TO CATCH HIM SO BAD.
"Mr. Heth! We have questions! --" *sentry drone blast*
"Mr. Heth, the people demand to hear your story!"
"Mr. Heth, is it true you fathered a secret love child with Empress Jamyl?"
"Mr. Heth, are you and President Roden secret clones?" *turret fire*

I was literally thinking of this scenarios where we swarm him with asshole griffins jamming all his forces and launching fireworks to blind them.
IS IT TRUE YOU AND DIANA KIM ARE A PAIR NOW?!
HOW IS THE STATE REACTING TO YOUR DERP?
HOW DO YOU FEEL BEING THE FEDERATION FASHION WATCH MAGAZINES FIRST CIVIRE IT MAN?
IS IT TRUE YOU DESPISE THE GALLENTE BECAUSE YOU COULDN'T GET INTO THE CAILLE ART SCHOOL??
HOW IS MRS. HETH DOING THESE DAYS AFTER THE DIVORCE?
IS IT TRUE THAT YOU USED STATE FUNDS TO MODIFY YOUR FACE TO MIRROR PIETER TUULINEN'S CHIN DUE TO IT BEING WELL RECEIVED?!
-
We'll be there! Hopefully.
I'm hoping to fly under Pyre Falcon, honestly. I don't think I-RED needs to be mucking about in BR on our own.

For the love of Talos LET SCOPE GET THE FIRST SCOOP FOR GREAT NEWS JUSTICE.

Please keep calm and continue to enjoy holo-feeds. Everything is fine. Relax. All is in control.

Is this an event happening at a set time? That's the impression i'm getting from some of the posting. I ask out of genuine curiosity as I don't recall seeing a time mentioned (Don't want to miss if possible).

The longer they delay the sooner we can amass :D

REPORT: Wreckage of Heth’s escort found in Hakonen (http://community.eveonline.com/news/news-channels/world-news/report-wreckage-of-heths-escort-found-in-hakonen/)
Aivonen – The Caldari Navy has recovered the wreckage of the fugitive fleet believed to have been escorting Tibus Heth in Aivonen early this morning. The wrecks were devoid of bodies despite numerous unused escape pods and signs of a prolonged struggle and firefight.
According to the Navy’s report, it appears the ships were attacked with energy weapons and boarded. What happened after that is unknown, as the ship computers were destroyed by an EM pulse which appears to have been powerful and artificial. Numerous personal effects confirmed to belong to high-ranking members of the Provists have been recovered from the wreckage, including a Caldari Constructions pocket watch reportedly prized by Tibus Heth in the wreck of a Raven Navy Issue. Fresh blood samples recovered from the watch match those of Tibus Heth.
Navy officials have not yet officially speculated on the nature of the attack, nor the disposition of Heth. They have claimed the attack was not conducted by the Caldari Navy or any known associates. Caldari State authorities continue to treat Heth as a live fugitive.
Considering the highlighted parts... Slave Heth01 soon(tm)?
-
Really.. SanshaHeth? :bash:
-
It could also be the Amarr they would have their own reasons for wanting him

I wonder if we will see Slave Kim01 then soon after too
-

Not entirely sure the State would be too happy about that, the Imperial Navy going into their space and operating, then taking one of the State's most wanted fugitives for their own ends?
Hrm, who knows, this might be the Amarr/Caldari version of the whole Midular shooting.
-
not only the amarr and sansha use lasers, also the ammatar, khanid and blood raiders....
but i can't seem to find any reason why would any of all 6 factions would like to "capture" heth alive or else.
-
You have no idea why Kuvakei would want to capture people alive?
Not to mention considering what Heth knows about the workings of the State, lots of people would want him alive. He's a treasure trove of intel.
-
[tinfoil]
Amarr.
They wish to hand him back to the State at the cost of no resistance to the incoming reclaiming.
The State will refuse, War will ensue.
All to put them on an even footing with the Feddies and Minmarats who are currently busy snapping at each other's throats.

Bloodraiders seeking to market Heth-blood to the remaining provist loyalists across the cluster.
;)
New product. Whole new market to sell to.
-
:bash:
This started off sounding interesting even if there was no reason/chance for me or my character to take an active part in, but with the recent announcement, what seemed like what could be a massive event for a lot of players to take part in is just being dangled in front of their noses.
I could be wrong and something might still happen, but I don't get that feeling.

The evidence suggests another attempt to hide. Energy weapons and not hybrids or missiles, blood but no body, personal items but the computer is wiped... too much effort to make it seem like Heth was "captured" instead of switching ships and hiding.
Most likely Heth hired mercenaries and, according to the new info provided in the thread, used a Sansha incursion as a smokescreen.

Heth's not a clone. Blooders wouldn't want anything to do with his blood.
Even if they thought he was, they probably wouldn't anymore once they found about his case of Derj's.
I can't really see any (laser-using) group except the Sansha wanting him for any reason, but tbh that seems like an extremely lame cop-out of the sort that would go against a lot of what seems to be being worked towards as far as the storyline goes over the last year or so.
-
1. Heth's advancing neurodegenerative condition becomes impossible to ignore or hide even from his most devoted flunkies.
2. In desperation, said flunkies turn to the Cluster's foremost (and most criminal) experts on neuro- and psychosurgery.
3. SUDDENLY, BETRAYAL!
4. collect panties.

Not to mention considering what Heth knows about the workings of the State, lots of people would want him alive. He's a treasure trove of intel.
Heth's STAFF would be more useful to a would-be invader than the man himself. His knowledge would likely stretch to a half-dozen top level commands and systems, the codes for which have all now been changed by the CEP.
It's not like he conquered the State through sheer military genius. He's been hiding in a hole for a couple of months - even his knowledge of Cal Nav deployments is out of date.
-
I don't disagree with you Pieter on the idea of Cal Nav, CEP, etc making much of Heth's intel regarding military strategy and planning irrelevant. But in PF there were either outright statements or strong implications that Heth was paranoid enough, particularly in the final days of his regime, to keep detailed files on each of the megacorps and their high-profile people including CEOs. It's not too far of a stretch to presume that these files would have included certain contingency measures aiming to deal with individual or corporate threats they might have posed 'to the State'.
So ... weaknesses, exploitable and otherwise. Maybe that explains his use as an intel source. All speculation of course.
:bash:

Second that concern, Steffanie.
I'm hoping that this is the lead-up to a big event (Kill Heth or whatever he's become!) or the start of a slow burn of smaller events designed to focus on Heth (or his memory) as a rallying point for diehard Provists and the Templis Dragonaurs for months and years to come. Something to bring their particular subfaction 'front and center' as real threats and enduring adversaries of both the State and Federation, so to speak.

It's entirely in Heth's nature that he'd have full profiles on key individuals in the State, anything that could be used to bribe/manipulate or unsettle people. While he might not have passcodes, fleet movements etc, there's still a lot that you can't change overnight that he'd be knowledgeable of.
It's like if someone kidnapped George W Bush a year after Obama took charge. He might not know the launch codes, but he knows the equipment being used, the men and women in charge and probably read the CIA dossiers on them all.
