Looks amazing. Watching some Yogscast highlights on YouTube (like this 4 player coop dungeon dive (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2U91HHslF0s), the first let's play from Martyn is here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZjUxFAu4tjQ)). Check out the features...

How does this offer anything more than what Minecraft already does?

Did you click on any of the links? Minecraft doesn't offer the same thing at all.

I have been playing it (had to torrent since the site is down for purchase; will purchase once it is up). The only similarity to Minecraft is the fact that both are voxel, and both have procedurally generated, infinite worlds.

While Minecraft is a sandbox building game with RPG elements tacked on, this is very much an RPG game from the ground-up. The towns are quite large and function as any RPG town would; there are districts for crafting, shops, etc.

If anyone gets this let me know; would love to play multiplayer.

The links weren't clear to me in any meaningful way. One bad generalization, and some lets plays that aren't particularly enlightening.

What I gathered from seeing the game played is that this is simply something a much heavier, RPG focused mod, on Minecraft could achieve.

Genuinely not sure if Minecraft mod could implement the combat system Cube World has, though.

Again, only similarity to Minecraft is the voxel graphics. Generally seems to be a better program too.

The amount of work needed to make a Minecraft server run a mod that affects everyone at the level of Cube World is enough that you may as well build the game.

Also, at least to me, Cube World is a lot easier on the eyes and doesn't require a change in skins to keep my eyes from going derp.

Right, Minecraft is a building game. Cube World is an RPG.

Having lots of fun with it; can see the potential as I play. Am pretty desperate for a multiplayer partner though <_<

J4LP has had a decent minority of members with their own Mumble channel that play this pretty much nonstop outside of Eve-time.

I'd play if I had gotten a CLOSED BETA INVITE.

Holy shit, want. Looking forward to this one. I hope it's cheap though... Minecraft is like $30 now.

Looks fun, but I might have to pass for the same reason I've passed on Minecraft thus far: I already play one game that sucks away all my free time. :P

I called bullshit on this before looking it up.

Mother of God and all that is holy, $26.95?! Glad I bought it when it was like...$5.

15 euros KitKat

I'm enjoying it okay so far but I have no idea what I'm doing.
