We're putting capital rigs into EVE. Not much else to say, really. They will work pretty much as you would expect them to.

Some things to note:
* Rigs that previously did not affect capital modules will affect capital modules
* (Core Defense Capacitor Safeguard, Auxiliary Nano Pump and Nanobot Accelerator rigs)
* Tech I BPOs will cost 50 Million ISK
* Manufacturing Capital rigs will use 5 times the materials of Large rigs

Will existing, installed large rigs in capitals be magically upgraded? Or as I imagine, we'll have to destroy racks full of t2 large rigs to install these now?

This has dangerous implications for dreadnoughts.

You thought Blap-Moros were bad enough before, occasionally one-shotting your battleships? Just wait until they introduce the full range of weapon rigs for capital blasters.


While it looks like capital tanking in general might be boosted by this, I have a feeling the uptick in DPS with new capital rigs is going to be very very nasty.

While it looks like capital tanking in general might be boosted by this, I have a feeling the uptick in DPS with new capital rigs is going to be very very nasty.

The large ones already work on Capital guns. For example, Metastasis rigs already increase tracking.

Moros with 2 unscripted tracking computers - 0.00677
Moros with 2 unscripted tracking computers and a metastasis rig - 0.00778
Moros with 2 scripted tracking computers - 0.01109
Moros with 2 scripted tracking computers and a metastasis rig - 0.01204

Different size rigs do not confer different scales of bonus. If you could somehow get small rigs on a dreadnought, they'd still give the same bonus as large ones (and, I presume, will give the same bonus as capital rigs).

Pardon my fail knowledge :)

For some reason I thought the large weapon rigs were specifically large weapon and not applied to capital turrets... hmph.
