Done  :D

Military shirt and new pants. I think the colors are representative of each faction so this is probably the Gallente one?

John's shirt and probably standard dress at all I-RED gatherings. :P

Different color. Minmatar maybe?

Probably the Caldari shirt.

Overcoat. Think it was the command coat or something like that in the description.

Another coat.

Better view of the new pants and another shirt Amarr possibly?

New female jacket with the new pants as well.

Green shirt with the pants. Not crazy about the gap there, but they look pretty good with the new skirts.

See? New skirt and different color for the shirt doesnt match very well though.

Blue shirt same skirt.

Camo skirt grey shirt.

Back in black.  :bear:

One of the cybereyes. I could only get the right eyes to work right for them, so I hope they fix that.

Same deal with the monocles only worked over the right eye.

Unless its supposed to look like that on the left eye.

Goggles.

New female skit outfit. This one you don't have to buy its just a new addition to the regular lineup.

They had some boots as well but I couldn't get any of them to work.  :bash:

Verrrrry nice  :D Thanks for that Ember

Except for the Ishukone shirt, all of these are rather vague and factionless*. Did they have descriptions with them at all? Do they appear as items like any other? (ie. showinfo)

*On second thought, the existence of an Ishukone shirt in that styling makes me believe that all those shirts are Caldari.

They all had descriptions. Mostly who the designer was nothing that said this is such and such faction, but the colors kinda make me think that at least unofficially they kinda are.

Designers huh? What's a sample one for those military shirts? (I'll get off your case after that  )

one was:

Quote
Designer: Sennda of Emrayur
Modeled after the Class B military blouses found in several modern navies, the "Sterling" dress blouse is designed to cope with the realities of daily service while maintaining the image of an orderly fighting force. Our dark wool blends are specially treated to resist staining, even tough grease and oil stains common on modern starships. The blouse is adorned with traditional epaulets and a classic waist cincher.

Innnnteresting. Going for a neutral take on it, then. I imagine we will see more in that style but with NPC corp logos a la that Ishukone. Cheers for the charity for the poor EVE-deprived :)

(I would want one of those military shirts for Seri, but I think everyone would go for it, so I think I'll stick with his Gallente tee >_>)

Interestingly, I didn't notice the Ishukone Watch shirt anywhere. Otherwise, some fine, though again, there seems to be some clipping errors involved. I think female models are not finished, which explains the see-through arms and stuff. (I did also see some parts that look like glowy body parts when fooling around the CQ, so male models have some bugs, too.)

Lots of tuck options. The new shirts would need those, too. Tops control how they're worn, bottoms have an option to tuck the top part in them, and boots allow sleeves to be pulled on top of them. Some of those seem to cause clipping errors, though, but that might be because of the body shape.

I'm enjoying the hell out of the new Duality build. Especially the bigscreen TV, showing wanted player, where they were last seen (!), new pilots who have started out nearby, starter agent locations (Guristas agent blurb: "Concerned private citizens in Venal require help from open-minded capsuleers...), and Sov updates.

How cool is that?

Also, so glad to see that ships now spin in their hangar. It's very slow, but oh so nice.

Ships spin? Is the hangar the same or new? Seems a bit bizarre. "Argh trying to fix the port nacelle but this darned ship cant keep still"

Also, seems disappointing that despite being able to purchase these clothes, one is still unable to wear the starter items of the direct opposite faction. For example, a Gallente can purchase that Ishukone shirt yet can't wear a Caldari jacket by default.

For some reason my sense of aesthetic screams when it sees this 'fashion'.

I take it you've tried clicking on all the different things that appear on that bigscreen TV, yes ?

I find most of the new payable clothes pretty ugly*. Though I am not complaining, that way I will not be tempted to buy them. :p

*except maybe the business suit.

I quite like what they've made for this, honestly; the military-style shirts are pretty nice in particular (the ones with the four colours; one for each faction, I assume). That it all seems to have a fairly military vibe is unfortunate, given that Kyber's likely to not bother with that kind of thing, but hey, lets me keep my ISK going towards shinies with somewhat more application. :P

I'm curious to see if they continue to expand the collection available in the lead-up to Incarna's first iteration, though, and then to see how they expand it over time from there.

Is one of those military style shirts supposed to be for Minmatar? None of them look 'right' to me for matari.

Post by: Kybernetes Moros on 31 May 2011, 11:47
I'd be hesitant to say they're the clothing of whatever military, but some continuity with the factions can be seen in the colours. I mean, for each faction's military to use the exact same clothing with a slight variation to colour doesn't strike me as likely. Capsuleer-marketed imitation that doesn't really synch with 'reality'?

This does not bode good for the WoD game though.

Microtransactions and whatsits.

As per the description Lou provided, those shirts are specifically designed to be generic

If these are generic clothes I am unhealthily interested in what Factional variants will look like.

I'm not sure if the links will keep working.

I realized what made me uncomfortable about the capsuleer clothes.

They're pretty much the same as those that people were wearing during the second world war in Finland (could be in other countries as well.)

I would gather that the freedom that the capsuleers enjoy would be applicable to the clothing that they are wearing.
Hence making any kind of clothing an option, not just something that has been dug out of the archives and recoloured a little bit to suit the needs of different factions.

I was not aware that the Lottas had "bare the midriff" type uniforms. So yes, the military shirts currently in are heavily effected by what we do have now. I'd love to see more factional colour - there's some, but not much. For example, in the old character creator, the Amarr had these outfits with a collar and all kinds of wires showing. Similarly other races had all kinds of devices in their clothes. What we have now are... clothes.

Similarly, while the current military design is alright for practicality, I find it unlikely that there would not be, say, jumpsuit/sweater-based military uniforms. Though then again, giving fashion designers free hands might tend to lead into haute couture outfits which don't really look practical. (For example, the high-collared coat is kind of skirting it.)

I imagine CCP would day "All in good time", though yes, a sweater-based uniform would be cool, as so many militaries these days seem to utilize woolen pullovers.

CCP are going more for a post-contemporary look than futuristic; just take a look at the Gallente clothes.

Got around to checking these out, turns out Cruci's legs are too fat for this skirt (http://i1134.photobucket.com/albums/m618/eve_crux/20110607043444.jpg).

Here's (http://i1134.photobucket.com/albums/m618/eve_crux/20110606231846.jpg) a few (http://i1134.photobucket.com/albums/m618/eve_crux/20110606231920.jpg) other (http://i1134.photobucket.com/albums/m618/eve_crux/20110606231930.jpg) screenshots that are less broken looking.

I took a look at this today and the clothes are definately a great addition to the original sets, but it'll take a lot more content before it stops looking like everyone's shopping at the same store.

I didn't see the Ishukone variant of the black shirt, so am I right in thinking there's restrictions on what you can buy from the store depending on race? Would be great to see extra NCP specific items though. With the loss of standings information being hidden stuff like that might be a nice way to illustrate affiliations.

I couldn't work out how to tuck my shirt in either... how do you do that?

Shirt tuck is now in the pants options. Pants can be put on top of shoes from the shoes. And yes, no Ishukone shirt for my somewhat Ishukone-loyal Caldari character.

No dresses or female robes are disappointing to me just a bit.  I don't like the skirts at all, look like some from the 1970s secretary pool.  We have artifical gravity, a dress is perfectly reasonable.

So will you support your Amarr overlords buying clothes in there shops
