Family’s Embrace

(Refrain)

Do you hear the call of the space-born wanderer,
One to fly without a name?
Does the Family call you to their arms,
To forge anew from flame?

(I)

Twas a man called Jackson Delphi,
Noble born and fine.
Had all a man could want,
Food, women, and wine.

(II)

One day the Navy called him out,
To protect what was his home.
So up to space our boy did go,
Forever more to roam.

(Refrain)

(III)

One day upon the star lanes,
Patrolling far and wide,
Jackson heard a distant call,
But knew it bonafide.

(IV)

“I’m weary of this sullen life,
Taking orders from the crowd.
I’m sure there must be some better use,
For the talents I’m endowed.”

(Refrain)

(V)

And so one day he took a ride,
in a shuttle so quietly.
To a place he heard he could stay,
Where all was family.

(VI)

The Cartel took him in their arms,
His boring life no more.
Now came the time for Delphi proud,
To see what was in store.

(Refrain)

(VII)

The Cartel taught him wise,
of the wandering space fairing ways.
Soon the riches he had known,
Paled beneath his gaze.

(VIII)

He had his life of freedom,
He had his family.
He had all of space to journey.
He was all he could be.

(Refrain)
