Her name was Rhea Heavenbound, homeworld was Vevelonel VI.
Vevelonel VI was attacked on the 14th. 55k were taken.
Seriphyn pleaded to Omune Balenne about the fate of Rhea and Jaidon Heavenbound.
There is now a Slave Heavenbound02.
It's Jin-Mei, when Rhea was ethnic Gallente, but can't expect them to get EVERYTHING right; I imagine however, :sanshatech: plot device can change that.

Cybernetically enhanced wife eh? Should get her back and install some fun extras.
Good times though. I'm sure Seri is just horribly crushed. Sanity snap like a twig. Inject himself with some sansha implants to try and contact/find his wife.
-
I never expected CCP to do that. Props.
-
Seri, you mind sharing where such character information can be found?
-
Oh shit I thought that name was strange.
I was in Fleet with her last night.
That is amazing.
-
Wow, props to CCP, really.

Er, Slave Heavenbound02...search for that, no space. It is apart of True Creations corporation, the same way Slave Tama01 is.
Rhea Heavenbound is an active character that was sold to random person in February this year, at which point IC wise I said she had retired on Vevelonel VI (kinda like how Vieve Tisserand is dead but active...). It was pure luck that Nation attacked there, providing some really tragic RP for my character outside of my control, that is to say, I didn't self-inflict emo RP on my own character for sympathy points. Many points...
- I did not state the bloodline of Rhea on the mail to Omune Balenne.
- If it IS a nod to myself, then I assume CCP went with what is most likely, ie. Jin-Mei, since Seri is Jin-Mei
- If CCP knew Rhea was an actual character, I doubt they would have created her.
- As such, I doubt CCP will answer on the subject...I do think they jumped the gun with their attempt at being ballsy, so they will leave it "ambiguous", in either case, I love them for it.
(I do wish I stated the bloodline of her in the mail now...but there was no way I would have known they would have been this daring :3)

Daddy, is that you? It's so cold here.
But I can hear everyone
O SHI-
Wait, wrong order...CCP think Rhea is child and Jaidon is mother...
Vevelonel VI population

Balenne,
Please, you must tell me the total population of the world...55000 civilian captures? If my child and his mother is among them...Rhea and Jaidon Heavenbound...do you know? Can you tell me?
Please...

Somebody help me get around this clusterfuck...

Jaidon is trying to contact you through Rhea via the Nation's hive mind. Arguably Rhea could be protecting Jaidon's personality within the Hive Mind.
-
Yeah, just was RPing with them in local where they attacked in Kamio. It's being left ambigious that Slave Heavenbound02 might be a hybrid of both Jaidon and Rhea.

Heavenbound x 02?
-
Very likely Merdaneth...I thought it was just "slave number 2", since it was Slave Tama01, then Slave Heavenbound02...
But the third slave is Slave Ation09...so perhaps you are right.

Petition CCP for godmoding, tbh :P

A mail that was exchanged between Seriphyn and the CONCORD officer present at Vylade...
Information request

To: Haeldone Dorgiers,
It's me, the man who had his fiancee and infant son taken from Vevelonel VI and what's left of them turned into Slave Heavenbound02
As a matter of...well, I have no idea, but is it possible you can release any information to this sort of...technology? Anything you think can help me...
You saw me out there, I know you cared. Help me.

To: Seriphyn Inhonores,
Stay away from that thing. It is not your daughter.
Look, I know this is must be impossibly hard on you, but you have to accept that she's gone. If you think what remains is anything but an abomination, then you're letting the Sansha get to your head - you're letting them win.
You have to be strong.
Show the rest of us that you are willing to do what has to be done.
-
Out.stand.ing. :>
I approve. KEEL IT WITH FIRE!
-
The more I think about this, the more win CCP has.
-
The more I think about this, the more I'm less certain if this is an epic win on CCP's part or the start of a dangerous precedent.

I'm actually going to give CCP this one.
It was a very astute inference -- as Seriph literally handed them a letter that said "PLEASE DO SOMETHING REALLY MEAN TO MY CHARACTER" by contacting a CCP representative IC and handing them a plot hook.
The fact that they accepted and used the plot hook immediately is actually a sign that they're open to work with the community when offered things to go on.
My opinion on the events hasn't entirely changed, but I'm impressed with how rapidly the writing of some of the actors has improved considerably, and I admit as things move on I may have been wrong in my assumption of the "hokey" cliche I was expecting it to become -- given directions things are taking a startling turn towards the positive.
Also latching onto this plot hook is a definite gain for them in my eyes (not that they're trying to impress me, but I figured I would update :P ).
-
I understand why Yoshito is a little wary, but honestly I'm not too worried -- Seriphyn gets no substantive reward for this, and it only helps build the verisimilitude for everyone. This is the kind of "reward" I loved to see from the AURORA events, like when the Ishukone rep acknowledged Omerta's history. Faction gear and junk like that is a shallow high, fleeting, aside from its favoritism issues.
Stuff like this will persist in the minds of players forever.
-
And, if you tell the story right, this is the sort of thing that draws people to EVE (and RP).
-
oh man, i just read this post, following EVE-o's post from CCP dropbear in the fiction section.
Seri, seriously this is a most amazing development, kudos to CCP for adapting it on the fly.
-
My only trepidation is that EVERYONE will suddenly want such attention. And I doubt it can be provided to everyone.
Also, I just saw that Dropbear linked to my comment above. That amuses me more than anything.

From a event-runner on other systems in the past -- I can assure you that the people who like to be paid in a quality story event by having a minor bit part in it are the biggest boon in the world.
-
I agree.
However, the danger is that there'll be more people who appreciate having the minor parts played than CCP can accommodate. I'm not sure if there will actually be more people than CCP can handle. But if there are, I would bet you'll hear cries of favoritism as soon as the first person is ignored.
And, alternately, there's the danger that people will misread the minor boons as being larger than they are. Though at least on this count, I believe it won't be a big problem.
I'm not convinced either will actually wind up being issues. I'm certainly hoping they aren't. I just have to hold some amount of trepidation because I've seen such things go awry in the past.
