EVE IS BETTER BLAH BLAH BLAH, but still, you have to admit that's a nice touch.

Saw this earlier, and my first thought was that the advanced search tool is awesome.

Also, I dunno if it's even valid to try to qualify one or the other as better. They're about as alike and different as chess and go. Much like I feel about other WoW/EQ type MMORPGs.

Yus, TOR will be another pay-monthly game from what I've read - which isn't much.
My partner's moving over to there and I might follow, the combat and class features look interesting. This Guild search thingy looks good, too. Hmm, looks like it'll be a semi-decent game, and the hype seems to concur. But I never really listen to hype. Especially after the Star Wars game it follows, SWOTR? Something liek that.

Apparently levelling is done/can be done entirely though quests with actual storylines rather than grinding.

Being a bit of a Star Wars geek, I'll def be checking it out on a trial at least. I did apply for the Beta too. I have not been following it much, but it looks pretty cool.

Han Solo is the Father of sci-fi smugglers. Count me in as one of them if this turns out to be a good game.

Not related to the OP ...

... but one thing about SWTOR that appeals to me is that Bioware has promised a complete revamp of crafting. Yes, the thing everyone hates (I'm a level 50 warrior out gathering flowers  ) is allegedly getting a facelift. You can have your NPCs do the gathering and manufacturing even when you're offline. You can also send them out on quests of their own; obviously the results will still benefit you but you have nothing to do with them in the interim period.

Sounds promising. More details here.
