Life is just too busy, and on top of that I want to check out ESO when I finally get time to play anything regularly again. It is likely I'll be back, like I always am. I'd have to really enjoy ESO to not come back to Eve eventually. :cube:
Edit: To those I was working on arcs with or other such things, I apologize for leaving you in a lurch. Flogging is due.

Oh, also, if anyone is on the NA server in ESO send me a mail or something.
-
Lots of people taking breaks lately, it seems (I am one of them, lels). Cya soon Jace.
-
Same here with the break taking from EVE.
Though while taking a break, thought I'd give ESO a try, to. NA server, so let me know what name to get a hold of you by, and I will. :)
-
I come back and bring in some hopeful new RP blood and everyone leaves. :(
I promise I took a shower before I logged back in.
Enjoy the break guys. I'm still up in the air about ESO, but if I do decide to give it a try I'll look you guys up.

Because I'm nothing if not predictable, I'm Jace Sarice in ESO as well. Daggerfall Covenant.

Visually pretty. Makes me wanna check it out. But I'll wait to hear how bad it sucks, first. Last time I took a chance on a new game was PotBS.
When you kill in ESO, can you take their shit?
All of it? Can you leave them a nude corpse just like in Skyrim?

I was thinking about writing my thoughts on it, but then decided why bother. I'm not hard to please and I am enjoying it quite a bit so far. Also didn't take long to get connected with the RP community, either.
Also, I didn't pay attention to corpses as I looted them. I'll let you know whether they are nekkid.

I have since left ESO because there is absolutely no endgame progression whatsoever. Standard style MMOs need an endgame to keep me interested. There is literally no point to anything you do in the game except experience quests the first time or PvP if you find Cyrodiil interesting. No point. No replay. No endgame fight for gear worth getting. It is not even a grind for the sake of getting somewhere or something, it is literally a grind to nothingness.
ESO RP communities mostly revolve around ERP, banal racism, or the roleplaying version of People magazine. Will not be going back. I have not decided if I will return to EVE or not. I have an enormous amount of stuff to get done over the next two months as far as my life as a graduate student goes, but after that I may come back and be a space trucker and Jita whore again.

I have to say that the draw to return to EVE is almost genuinely unnerving to me at this point. Seven or so years later, I keep coming back. Some breaks were a month, some a couple years. But it always fracking happens.

Not actually playing much here either because RL.
Only log in to mine while watching anime or ironing my laundry and PI.

Yeah, the last couple of times I have returned to EVE it was primarily managing markets and hauling while watching television or something. Periodically punctuated with roleplaying with alts on the rare occasions channels were active.

There's more to do in Eve than skillchanging and shitposting on the forums?
Huh, TIL.
