Nicoletta, this wiki article (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nordic_countries) suggests Finland is considered a Nordic country. Though I believe Finnish isn't considered a Nordic language.

No, it is not. It is from the Uralic language tree, fenno-ugric to be precise.

First, my comment was tongue-in-cheek, so, yes, I knew that in the wide sense 'Nordic people' refers to the Finnish people, too, because Finland is a Nordic country. In the strict sense the 'Nordic people' are 'Germanic people that speak the North Germanic languages'. 'Nordic people' can also refer to all Germanic peoples, even the ones living on Sicily. How do you explain that by geography, Vince? Counting Sicily among the Nordic countries? :3
