CCP: We understand you're really upset so we're here to talk but we're not going to mention the elephant in the room.
Players: ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM! ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM!
CCP: Uh, yeah. It's a real elephant. Not going to talk about it though.
Players: ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM! ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM!
CCP: Can't talk about the elephant in the room. But let me make fun of you on twitter.

Rinse, repeat.

Oh, yes. Goonswarm once orchestrated one that required the forum to be shut down due to the sheer scale of the traffic.

Proposed carrier nerf IIRC.

Well, at least they're finally making a visible effort to engage in dialogue with the players. Am feeling slightly more optimistic now.

EDIT after skimming thread: Newsletter confirmed as real. osnap

Actually, a dialogue would require that CCP be listen to the players. This is basically CCP telling the players why they think we're upset and continually missing the point for seventy pages.

As I'm prepping for work whilst reading all this, I've not had time to go over it all properly. What I think is good is that they've at least acknowledged that the people in GD are there.

I'll give it a proper read thisafternoon.

It's the PR team listening to you rant while the big guy approaches from behind with the sedative. And who says its not deserving, either? Maybe a little cathartic release will give people some perspective after they've gotten it out of their system?

Truthfully, I too am a bit puzzled about what THE major issue is. There are a lot of issues to choose from but I cannot seem to pinpoint which one exactly is the most important one to the player base. What I can see is a lot of people stating the CCP is missing the point without (conveniently) stating what the point is.

Maybe CCP is just having the same issues as me. :|

T20 incident too. That one I remember because it was my first exposure to the eve-o forums.

Lagging Behind

Morwen's Law:
1) The number of capsuleer women who are bisexual is greater than the number who are lesbian.
2) Most of the former group appear lesbian due to a lack of suitable male partners to go around.
3) The lack of suitable male partners can be summed up in most cases thusly: interested, worth the air they breathe, available; pick two.
