Not as much of a fan as the other one. I'd rather see the gold icon on a grey background, same as the board itself, but thats me

That's a good one too. A little more personality than the blue one since the color gives some originality to it while remaining in the strong eve reference.

I shall elaborate why I do not like the other one, since I forgot to clarify a bit why, which is not very fair : I find the first one too... common/standard/trite compared to the eve version. I feel like I am dealing with a luxury brand of some kind, who usually love that kind of logos. It's classy though, but it's less eve.

Here's one that's just like the current EVE forums' icon, but with the golden hued B.





e; Added a little more contrast. Looks pretty good sitting next to the main icon in my tabs though.

Also, thanks for all the love and effort, all - especially Safai!  Seeing Backstage thought of as a "luxury brand" wet me eyes a tad.  <3
