Lunar Eclipse/Winter Solstice Dec 21st
« on: 21 Dec 2010, 15:39 »

Anyone witness this rare event this morning/last night. 1638 was the last time this occurred, and it will be many generations when the next will happen. I for one was plagued by terrible over cast, hoping to hear peoples thoughts on this.

I saw the eclipse happen, took a few photos, then the damn clouds came in as it reached total eclipse. I saw nothing.

Saw it, although some light clouds started coming in as it reached total eclipse. Was still visible, though, and quite awesome.

I like the implications of Gallentians being punched in the face by walking up to a Minmatar as they so freely use another person's culture as a fad.

Morwen's Law:
1) The number of capsuleer women who are bisexual is greater than the number who are lesbian.
2) Most of the former group appear lesbian due to a lack of suitable male partners to go around.
3) The lack of suitable male partners can be summed up in most cases thusly: interested, worth the air they breathe, available; pick two.

Got up and enjoyed it, particularly the fact that it happened contemporaneous with the solstice. :)

I saw it pretty late in the night. Had to go outside in the wee hours, so it was like 20 degrees, but definitely worth it to see a fiery-looking moon. Won't be seen again for 600 years, glad I was alive for it. ^^

So that's why I woke up the other evening and the overcast world felt tinted orange....

It won't be seen during the solstice for that long, but you should have plenty of future opportunities for full lunar eclipse observation. :)
