People don't want to know about your favourite sex toy. Or that you're a furry. Or whatever thing you're into this week.
Especially not when you're interrupting a conversation about EVE rp to inform people about it.
Channel says "respect others" in MOTD. So how about taking that stuff to your own channels.

Out of all the passive aggressive snippiness and unprovoked, indiscriminate personal attacks, its the sex discussion that got to you? :s
-
To be fair, I wouldn't spend much time in a channel devoted to dildos either.

it's everything.
i see people asking RP questions, and then getting interrupted by people talking over them, about things entirely unrelated to EVE and/or EVE RP. Would have thought the polite thing would be to prioritise eve + everp related things.
Then there's other people, new people, saying "is this channel always like this?" and then never appearing ever again. They've been put off, maybe? who knows.

I never really hang out in the OOC channel, and I sometimes wonder if I ever miss anything.
I guess not.

There used to be more interesting and informative discussion there, but as far as I'm concerned, the place has turned into a bit of a cesspool of mediocrity. I mostly spend my time in Red's when I want to chat.

Its supposed to be about RP? :)
The reason I never use the channel is that I find it even more immersion breaking than my alliance chat channel.
-
I am in agreement, the discussion of the alternative lifestyle can make many people uncomfortable

It's still better than the snoozefest that the Summit has become.

The internet rears its ugly head everywhere.
