Great trailer, and the website for Incursion has been updated now to show a whole list of features. This is turning to look good, and the three part implementation will help quell fears of a massive buggy expansion at once.

Now let's have someone complain please; it wouldn't be EVE if we didn't have a pessimist whining.

I'm all for putting emphasis on characters with unique voice actors, as opposed to past trailers with ships. Not only does this show that Incarna is nearing its release date, but it adds a level of storyline and association with a certain element of the game. We all fly ships, we know what combat looks like.

Yeah, that's what I thought too.  Then I jumped on SiSi and tested a decent tank against a Sansha Incursion gate camp.

A single BS, two frigates and a cruiser....  Definitely above the normal Sansha rabble.  I didn't stand a chance.  Knowing what I know now, the fleet in that trailer sent chills down my spine.

Short-range ammo Revelation with Beams and 2xfaction HS=3473 dps with perfect skills.
Phoenix with Cruise and 2xfaction BCS=2725 dps with perfect skills.

Faction BS=let's say 1500 to be somewhere in between the Vindicator and Rattlesnake reasonably pimped.

Faction Cruiser=400 (conservative estimate)

Faction frigate=200 (conservative estimate).

So 2300.  Not outrageously unreasonable tbqh.

What? Delayed deployment and implimentation of CCP's much marketed and promised bi-anual expansion? Fail CCP is fail!

I'd like to see CCP run an event in which Kuvakei himself is present. Then I'd like to see the collective players kills Kuvakei's ship... and finally, I'd like for the players to scram Kuvakei's capsule, and not pod him. Lock him down. Until DT.

But I think we all know that the players would kill the pod quicker than any FC could say "hold fire".

Pardon if this is discussed in another topic, but game-wise, what are these incursions supposed to add to EVE? I'm having a hard time getting excited about this update so far.  :ugh:

The only thing that makes me :) about the whole thing is imagining the sweet, sweet chaos when an incursion hits Jita.

Other than that, I'm left hoping that the PI revamp is good.

Don't know why they didn't exert development time to Incarna or DUST, yeah, it just completely came out of the blue

Hub constellations will be explicitly excluded from any incursion. Was confirmed by CCP.

And i conccur, PI refinements and T2 ammo rework is probably the only 2 things that i really really look forward.

Incursions are not the same as WoW raids. The incursions do not involve any instancing, for example. It's more like public quests. In fact, current L5 missions and 10/10 complexes are much closer to WoW raiding than this new content.

Is this fixed/defined?  What if a new hub is somehow created (I realize this is a low possibility)?

At least until they patch some of the incursion content and forget to put the limitation back in. :twisted:

The storyline planets were excluded from PI in the beginning too, but it changed and they seem to be available now. (Tested with Matar)
