OoC, I just have ISK and I don't really have all that much to spend it on. I want to see more RP. I want to see public spectacle and I want to see something fun happen. Do you have an RP project you want to get off the ground? I'll pay you. Do you have a glorious war between RP entities in mind and need a warchest? Hell, I'll buy you a few carriers and some subcaps. Do you have any kind of project in mind that can be made into something public and fun? Contact me in-game, IC on Derena Del'thul and I will consider it.
Create some RP. Create some amusement.
Have some fucking fun.
OOC Amendment:
I recently paid out 1.625 billion to an RP venture, and it was all done OoC. This means I've set a precedent that you don't have to contact Derena IC in-game. If you want, you can contact any of my characters OoC and we'll hash things out. Since there's still a mail and money-trail between me and the recipient, there's still the requirements that this can't benefit the Empire/Slavery or harm the Tribes.

Well, I may as well just let it be known now...
Var will be hosting a celebratory ball (for the creation of his new corporation soon™) on a lovely tropical island on Abagawa IV. It will be open to all capsuleers and will most likely take place on the 23rd of this month. I still have to decide at what times it will be held (probably from 20:00 to 00:00 EvE time).
There will also be another reason why this ball will be hosted, but I'll leave that to be mentioned in the weeks leading up to the event :P. Now I'm just waiting on a certain CEO *cough Dex cough* to reply to my evemail about the whole thing and I'll start the wheel rolling.
In terms of donation ISK, I won't need any unless you maybe want to pay for all the long limb roes and spiced wine :lol:

It seems the "public" requirement of it is a major problem.
To paraphrase from an internal discussion
"I don't have anything I want to do, that a couple of billion would help with, that I would be willing to chest-beat on IGS for"

Oh, chestbeating isn't what I was after. Just make something public, something that can be interacted with and spoken about.

And I would, but the requirements are just like "Well, here go have fun - but oh! Don't have anything interesting to do it about! :D" For all of us normal Amarrians I mean hey! Come now, "Mostly, entirely up to you"

Well, that's the rub when it's an IC thing. I don't have rich characters that don't have certain loyalties, so I can't just make an overall "go forth and do whatever you want" thing.

Well... you could but it would be quite out of character.
I suppose providing a few ideas might help, it seemed a bit vague to me, that being said I was only skim reading it

The only thing I'd actually spend the isk on would be ships for kabooming Amarrians. Most other avenues of RP I'd go down are more hand-wavey and so wouldn't actually cost money - in PF terms a few thousand isk would be more than enough for any such operations anyhow.

Make it public, make it a story, and you'll get the ISK for your ships. Want to take on a particular pack of Amarrians? Want to track down and suicide all of those one-man alt corp RPers until they cry, while keeping a gleeful public score? Make it cool and you get the ISK.
"The only thing" can always be enough... if everything around it fits.

I can do something public, that will involve RPers and non-RPers, make a point that there are consequences for the things you say on the IGS and will certainly be talked about. I'll PM you of you are interested.

Make it an IC approach to Derena Del'thul. She's the character and mind behind this thing. If you feel it requires OoC clarifications first, you can of course contact me here or in-game at your leisure.

What are Derena's loyalties? Would she fund a decidedly pro-State agenda? I'll be able to blow a few billion of my own on this eventually - but I'm going to make a series of major purchases first and all my ISK are going toward those for now.

If it does not harm the Tribes or benefit the Empire. (Of course, everything done in Eve can be said to harm or benefit one or the other with a bit of twisting, so it's not too harsh judgement on such things. If Empire benefits or harm to the Tribes are negligible or distant, it'll probably be worth consideration.)

Good job, Varlerian, and good work on creating actual in-space stuff to do. Too bad there wasn't a proper attack on the convoy, but it's still very good RP stuff. Since no losses were incurred that I know of, I expect to see this to be a running investment in other RP ventures from Dyishi Enterprises and I-RED.

Heh, yeah...both me and John were very surprised to not encounter any fights whatsoever. And yes, you can definitely expect me to use the Orca for some similar "humanitarian" RP ventures in the future... ;)

That's Silver's thing, paying people after the fact for RP created.
If you want to create some RP and need funding, I'll cover it.
Within limits, of course.

I might have a really crazy idea for this, unfortunately it is too crazy to do without CCP help. Has anyone tried the current story@eve-aurora.com e-mail and gotten a slightly positive response?

Crazy or not, I'll fund it if it's not directly harmful to the Tribes or directly aiding the Empire/Slavery.
(This due to there actually being an ISK/Mail/Post trail to my characters and that can be used IC against me)

AURORA has been dead for a long time, so I would be very surprised if anyone would answer there. The events we had were fully dev-run. (Possibly some on their free time, it was suggested somewhere that at least the alliance tournament event organizing isn't paying work hours at CCP.)
