The Ishuk-Raata Enforcement Directive has decided to open its once private lounge to the public. The lounge itself is a specialized mobile habitation module currently docked in Prism.

Channel Name is "I-RED Lounge"
Allow me to explain more about what it is and the rules we have for it:
I-RED Lounge is IC exactly as John described it. It's a simple bar for I-RED Enforcers (Capsuleers) to relax and recuperate. Previously restricted to alliance members only, and outsiders by invitation, we decided it could be opened up to the public. So, we've done so.
All food and drink there is free of charge. There are the usual no weapons rules, but the bar itself maintains Caldari sensibilities where it regards behavior... so it may be a bit more low key. There is plenty of room for trading of contraband or hushed whispers among cigar smoke though. It's a Caldari bar... so expect some shady deals and dirty intentions here and there.
The rules are pretty much what you'd expect. It's moderated IC, by IC caldari sensibilities. If you start going on about how bad the Caldari are, you'll get kicked out. There's no 'Freedom of Speech' here. You'll only get a kick for IC moderation though, so you can try your luck later.
OOCly There's nothing really serious we need to put down beyond 'no weapons allowed'. If something raises the ire of patrons or mods OOC, we'll take action OOC with bans. I doubt things will come to that though.
While technically it's open to ALL the public... I would like to stress that it will not be a welcoming atmosphere for those who run afoul of CONCORD or I-RED. 'Reds', pirates, toasters, and cultists may find themselves drawing some unfriendly looks... and may be more susceptible to IC moderation. This is not to say we don't want those types in the channel... it just means our characters don't want those types there.
So please, stop by and give it a go!

VR supporting or no?

VR supporting or no?
Yes, of course. I should probably put that in the MOTD. I'd personally prefer some manner of distinguishing who is VR connected and who is not... wish the game had an option I could use for that.

Yay :cube:

Very classy looking.

Yay, somewhere I can go for a drink without getting the stink eye from the Admiralty! Instead, I can give the stink eye to I-RED turning their backs on Amarrians! :D

This looks like a place that Morwen might drop by if someone nudged her to go. :3

Very classy looking.
What she said.
-
Is this a good place for general socialness or should I-RED or I-RED-related business occur here?
-
It's a good place for general socialness in my experience - though of course you do tend to see a lot of I-RED, and it may not be entirely welcoming to Fed loyalists.
-
+10 would visit again.
-
and it may not be entirely welcoming to Fed loyalists.
To date, Nation loyalists have received the coldest welcome. Federation loyalists are actually well recieved, as we still have a few contracts out there.
I-RED's biggest enemies are pirates, not a certain legal faction. That means Toasters (Sansha's Nation), Snakes (Serpentis), Rabbits (Guristas), Angels, and Blooders (Blood Raiders) in that order from worst to least. Snakes are second because we've been fighting them constantly for about three years now.
-
Why are Angels worse than Blooders? Or are the ones in the middle pretty equal?

Toasters are #1 because they are universally reviled.
Snakes are #2 because we fight them all the damn time, and they also happen to have some really annoying Capsuleer supporters.
Rabbits are #3 because they are literally Enemies of the State
Angels and Blood Raiders are tied for 4th place because they both have exceptionally annoying capsuleer elements, yet we don't see either normals or eggers in 'our turf' very often. So they are lowly ranked on the disapproving-frown-o-meter

Ayallah has also claimed that she could kill Makkal permanently by sabotaging all of her softclones and normal cloning facilities, even the ones in IRED HQ in null space.
I should note that this is an example of something that will earn characters a preemptive IC ban from the Lounge and other related I-RED locations. Those who end up banned and take OOC offense to this are invited to contact me directly to talk about it, and arrange an IC meeting with Katrina where the IC clarifications can be made of why they won't cause trouble, etc.
I don't want anybody getting offended that they got IC banned, but we'll treat such things seriously in character. Threatening us gets you banned. Full stop.

Updated the OP a little to reflect our change in theater. The Channel name has changed from I-RED Lounge to I-RED Public Lounge.
[When Kat shut down the original channel, someone took the name and locked all access to the channel. Thus the name change.. I love you too random hater of my happy-fun-time :cube: ]
-
Ishukone-Raata Public Lounge does not exist?
I am in I-RED Public Lounge.
*confused*

That is some small-minded petty shit, right there. Unless Kat locked it on an alt to keep it available and just plain forgot. KatKat, have you checked?
-
Erm yes it is I-RED Public Lounge.
Also I have had Kat check.
-
No way to tell who took it? I had the same with my original beach happen.

You can petition but I don't know if CCP will do anything about it. They will probably take the stance of "you deleted it and someone else took it, sorry, HTFU."
-
Oh I don't care about my original beach. Already replaced. Just curious who took it. Same with the I-RED lounge. Like, who the hell would do that?
-
There are words, but someone would probably report the post if I used them. :U
