About the only thing that can be done is just ignoring them entirely until the event happens.

I assume you aren't speaking about me. If I'm wrong, let me know.

In any case, +1 Edit: although I haven't seen any yet.

I wasn't.

But there's been a swath of awfully specific IC 'predictions' that are completely baseless and from left - field IC knowledge wise.

Just like the rounds of people blaming the Broker for the Nyx crash a few years back with 0 evidence or chain of deductions. 'i uh, think it was the broker, and uh, Jamyl is possessed!'

"Tibus Heth crashes titan on Arcturio, Caldari Prime while the Broker (disguised as Jacus Roden) is having sex with a possessed Jamyl Sarum onboard."

Hm, no good. Need to fit in the Jove and Shakor in somehow. And probably Karin Midular, too, since the Ray of Matar is around again. Should probably try to raise Gariushi from the dead (the Provists cloned him).

Saede just thinks this is all going to start full scale interstellar war and all of New Eden will just go up in flames and be reduced to survivors warring over rubble. Obviously mechanically that won't be happening (though it would be awesome if it did)

The broker in Rhoden form would have to have to be a crossdresser, because as we all know, Jamyl only gets hots for ze ladies.

But on topic: +1
We don't know anything, and at this point it'd be just the perfect publicity troll from CCP's side to make us all anxious/look forward to the future. :p

This. Forgetting the IC/OOC divide in intel is not good. If you mess up once or twice its not so bad, but to willingly breaking the divide is poor form.

From Pieter's perspective the doom and gloom is being caused not by psychic predictions of the Leviathan's crash but by the fact that Federation support for the 'insurgents' has moved beyond a few weapons drops to far more obvious direct support.

It's never been the case that the Leviathan would be sufficient to defend Home from a fleet action, only that it could make such an attack phyrric. Given the border violations and the rhetoric from both sides coupled with the explosion of violence on the planet itself, it seems obvious that the Federation is trying to create a situation on Caldari Prime that justifies them jumping a fleet in to engage the Leviathan so that they can 'stabilise the situation on the ground'.

That and the fact that they chopped loose a big enough chunk of firepower to get the job done from their Navy and sent it off on unspecificed 'manuevers'.

I think it's harmless. The Titan is Chekhov's gun. The pit and the pendulum. We all knew where it was going. Hell, some are positively pining for it.

Me, I'm pining for the events to follow - always gotta look a few steps ahead :)
