Republic Fleet announces live fire operations within Minmatar borders
reported by CCP Eterne | 2013-02-28T11:05:02Z

Pator – The Republic Fleet today announced that it has begun taking part in a number of operations within Minmatar borders in an effort to shore up security throughout its space. As a result, the Fleet will begin deploying ground troops in select areas it has deemed “areas of high concern” and has warned citizens that interference in the operations will be considered acts of terrorism.

Heder Elislar, a spokesperson for the Republic Fleet, explained, “One of the first acts of the Tribal Council was to determine that Republic security is currently lacking, especially on our border worlds. As such, the Fleet has deployed ground troops to a number of areas we believe are harboring cells of terrorists, criminals, and other threats to the Minmatar people.”

When asked about the nature of these threats, Elislar explained, “They come from many sectors. The Angel Cartel, for one.” He went on to say, “There are also concerns about possible Amarr insurgents attacking colonies,” in apparent reference to the Bragian Order assault on a Starkmanir colony on Vard VII the other week.

Apparently, the additional security will not be sufficient to alter the sec status of any systems. “The majority of these operations are taking place planetside,” Elislar said. “While the Republic Fleet would prefer to provide maximum protection to all systems, space superiority is not feasible with our current manpower. However, we are able to strategically redeploy ground troops away from high security systems with confidence thanks to our ability to interdict any hostile forces before they can deploy planetside.”

Surveillance probes have already captured several apparent engagements being fought by the deployed troops. Some rumors have begun to spread claiming the fighting is taking place at are supposedly top-secret Republic military facilities, but the Republic Fleet has dismissed these rumors as “patent nonsense”.

Looks like no empire can keep control of its Dust Bunnies.

After most of their capsuleers wandering off you think they (the empires) would think twice before creating yet another set of immortals ...

"What it also contained was political intelligence vital to sensitive negotiations ongoing in the tribal assembly. The Sebiestor tribe needed this information. Karin Midular needed this information to shore up her hand in the discussions. She also needed no-one else to know about it."

Noh was right. There really is a Sebiestor plot!

Of course there's a Sebi plot. Something would be very wrong if there wasn't. The interesting thing about this is that the Starkmanir are apparently plotting at a similar level.

We've been getting a bit slack: there's more competition now and we'll have to sharpen up. :)

(Nice to have a bunch of new PF snippets to glean. Was there something previously saying that the capital of Matar was called Capital City rather than Matar City, or am I having phantom memories?)

I was reading the latest Minmatar news post, http://community.eveonline.com/news.asp?a=single&nid=5058&tid=3, and I was hoping for some feedback. Of the Big 4, I know the least about the Gallente Fed and their laws and such. In the article it mentions
" "The Court has to be deadlocked. Half the Justices likely want to maintain the principles of racial homogeneity that the founders successfully imposed on the peoples of Gallentia and Caldari Prime. The rest are no doubt tempted to rewrite Federation Minmatar identity so that it resembles the Jin-Mei caste system."
What would that mean legally, especially for Minmatar born in the Federation?
