I thought I'd kicked the habit... I thought I was done! I've spent so much time getting rid of the shakes and twitches... I... I even installed other games to ease the pain of losing my supply. And now... now when I've finally become better... when I could think of the years ahead and know there was something good ahead, but that I didn't have to have it right now...
... you bastards... you do this?
/me just starts sobbing pitifully.
The fate of Morrigan (http://www.gametrailers.com/video/exclusive-debut-dragon-age/703832) and getting Liara back? (http://www.gametrailers.com/video/dlc-debut-mass-effect/703866?type=flv) On the same day?
Monsters! You're monsters! I hate you! I hate you!
...
Call me?

I'll definitely check the DA stuff out, but not sure about ME. I never was much into Liara. However, when they put out ME3 I'll be all over it again.
-
See, as much as I love Bioware I am hating my net provider, as I cannot download all this awesomeness and still maintain fast speeds!
Needz moar internets!
However, I REALLY want to play these now.
-
Oh man the only reason I'd want the Liara expansion is to see the Shadow Broker.
Totally gonna wait for others to spoil it for me before I look at buying it.
-
The fate of Morrigan?
Lemme guess, she still disapproves of everything I do. Did I get it? :bash:

You were a goodie two shoes, right? I played her so easily on my 'bad' character.

I did what I thought was most beneficial, yeah. The only thing more annoying than Morrigan's bitching was Leliana's weird accent and goodie-two-shoes behavior. Sometimes people need to die, dammit.
The only woman I take along is Wynne. Why? Because I like being immortal, and I like being offered cookies when I scrape my knee during an adventure.

Some doors shouldn't be reopened indeed. Orgins was a nicely done standalone tale, with a definite ending. Awakenings expansion I think just cheapened the ending in the original game. There is nothing wrong with a good story ending. Why do people hate satisfactory resolution so much in media?
-
To be honest, I didn't find the ending satisfactory. At least two of my DA characters wanted to go after Morrigan, so I can see that happening.
-
I guess it really depends on your particular ending. Kinda buggy, but the idea is a great number of endings were available. Dependent mostly on your choices right at the beginning and right at the end but whatever. You end up with your character going off and doing whatever it is you thought you should do. (My case offered to go with sten.)
Now the expansion comes out and tosses that choice out the window. Granted, it's game development, so you don't know what sales are gonna be like in theory. But it's Bioware. They know their shits good. Just raises a point on having that style of ending anyway. Really a big deal? No. Weird? Yes. And I'm not including if you were just straight up dead in the end anyway. Averted by most people having multiple runs through anyway.
My cynicism aside, Bioware rarely dissapoints and I'm sure their stuff is good.
-
Like Yahtzee put it, Bioware's so good that they don't get points for making good games anymore. They need to excel to be noted, heheh.
-
Wow, so glad I checked back in here and found this. *waits patiently for the update*
-
No one died in my game, and Morrigan has my kid.
I think she'll travel to the lands of the sequel.
-
My 'main' character did not have a child with Morrigan, nor did she have her fellow Warden sex up the witch. I have a feeling that character will have an... interesting time when she finds Morrigan. My male human, however... now he was a piece of work. he's comin' for his woman, not really caring about the child. It'll be... interesting to see whether or not Morrigan's going to show any of those little tender feelings she kept hinting at during the latter half of DA:O.

I honestly think morrigans a big fat liar right down to the core, the fantasy version of the black widow of today. Sadly, after my computer got infiltrated by a russian I had to wipe ze hard drive, but I should reinstall and give the game another run through, if only to insure an available save for dragon age 2. Probally mod the shit out of it too, keep it interesting.
My character (elfy warrior/rogue something) played up the racial thing and loves slaughtering some humans. The humans that traveled with her being the only exceptions really. Morrigans running off right before a fight will mean a nice big sharp thing becoming intimate with her neck if allowed.

Got myself all the DLC + expansion for Dragon Age yesterday. Suddenly I've been offline most of the day. Uh oh :P

I thought it was Bioware didn't get points for good writing, something along the lines of, "Birds fly, fish swim, Bioware has good writing"
Also: Lair of the Shadow Broker was awesome. Even though they somehow managed to release 1.5 GB of zeroes out to PC owners instead of the actual proper DLC. :bash:
Totally worth the $10 to get it, if not simply for some of the more comedic moments, "Don't you miss the days when you could just slap omni-gel on everything?" "That security patch made a lot of people very angry."

Hovercar Chase and Forum tears made the 1.6 GB of Zeroes Totally worth it. :sagenod:

No fuckin' spoilers in this thread thankyouverymuch.
Trailers are fine to discuss. Actual in-game content, give it a freakin' week or something so everyone has a chance to finish them. Spoiler tags exist for a reason.
...
But yeah, totally worth it.

Relax, it's not like I gave away the fact that Shepard decides to found a line-dancing school after the events of LotSB. :P
Oh wait... :D
-
Well, after finishing both, I have to say they're both worth it, and they're both replayable. The ME2 DLC is easily the best of the two, but both are decent. I didn't like how the DA:O one left more questions unanswered than it answered them, but I did like the conversations and such.
Won't spoil anything for a week or so.
-
I was annoyed with it. If I had paid for it, I'd be really annoyed.
-
The problem with the NO SPOILERS thing is that it allows for RAAAAAGGEEEE :frustration: :bash:
But yes, I enjoyed it. Extremely nicely polished. Better than going to the movies for the same cost. :P

I hereby lift the 'no spoilers' bit, as it's been out for long enough. Discuss the details to your heart's content.
