The above screenshot has the colours but they're not actually made in game yet.
So, CreoDron Steel, Duvolle Mosque, Gurista Tawn, Intaki Red, Naval Blue, Mannar Ultramarine and Militia Green for the Thorax. Subject to change, I imagine, but interesting how Intaki ships "will" be red (figured Jin-Mei's faction colour is red). And FedNav being blue...
Anyway, this is on Multiplicity. Do you think the new skins will be on the LP or NEX, or when final come out as Custom ships available on market?

/me is sceptical of picture
iirc, that's one of the picture hosting accounts that t'amber uses.
i'd also point out that it shows the Caldari Navy ownership of station, which last time i checked on sisi/duality, it did not have.
-
Someone find the pics of tiger-striped Mega, or the furry Mega. Or those item shop clothes/implants/tattoos pics. That's T'amber's manipulations from SHC/FHC.
-
Here, I believe (http://backstage.eve-inspiracy.com/index.php?topic=2417.msg33375#msg33375)

Very nice. Intaki Red it is.
I notice that with the screenshots showing a Federation cruiser all of the colour options appear to be Federation oriented, from Intaki Red and Mannar Ultramarine to Duvolle Mosque. (The Guristas might be a frustration for the State enough for the Federation to name a shade of paint after them. After all the pirate factions already have their colour schemes).
So can we expect the Empire and Republic to come out with their own colour ranges? For the State I'm immediately reminded of the skin variations (http://cdn1.eveonline.com/community/devblog/2010/Scorpion_2010_02.jpg) that were released when they released the new Scorpion model.
-
Bataav - Not actually Intaki Red, it's a placeholder. The colour is actually Roden (a Phobos is the same).
But yeah, that's exactly what they have planned I think, Bataav, as we saw with the Scorpion. Megas for Caldari, Houses for Amarr, Tribes for Minmatar...
-
If this is real...
*fantasizes about serpentis coloured hurricanes and drakes*

Jita 4-4 isn't Caldari Navy owned on SiSi/Duality? It is on TQ.

I mean the logo above the station services buttons

Very interesting if anything of this is true but... How do you deal /combine that with the T2 skins belonging to their own manufacturer (roden, carthum, etc) ?

Well, for example, I believe that a Thorax will have colours for everything except Roden, which will be left to a Phobos (although, there IS a Duvolle paintjob there, when a Deimos is Duvolle; despite being FedNav camo, I do beleive CCP will change it to the actual Duvolle colour as they did with the new Devoter). However, a Vexor will have a Roden paintjob, because it has no Roden T2 variant.

/me wonders about Hound and Cheetah variants.

T2 and Faction ships in general seems to come to mind as ships that have a particular corporate color scheme. Since it is mostly cosmetic, why shouldn't someone be able to have a bunch of Lai Dai - painted Caracals, without having it be a Cerberus?
-
Interesting thought. The Cheetah is Thukker Mix, so maybe a Core Complexion skin for the Probe?

I hope what you suggest will happen, because if not, the addition of a Lai Dai Drake for example will negate the possibility of a T2 Drake down the road. I'm using that as an example for any future Tech 2 ships, not as a suggestion for a T2 Uberdrake.

I was musing on Twitter about this sort of thing tonight. Hoping for some more cool shuttle skins; we have the Apotheosis, and I fly Echelons as shuttles quite a bit. The Zephyr has special functionality so that's something different.
But I'd like some sort of luxury shuttle to zip around in, even if it meant gankers might show up.

It would be nice to be able to have an Amarrian logo (or other empire) on the hull of the ship, or maybe even a corporate logo. That's an upgrade I'd be happy to pay a few $ for to have the PIE logo on the side of my Apocalypse!

Just you wait.

I've wondered for years why this was not implemented from day 1 - EVERYONE is in a corp, even if it's 'only' Scope etc. And thus, everyone has an emblem of sorts. People who might worry about childish emblems etc. have nothing to fret about, the corporate/alliance logos pops up whenever you check toon info anyhow. Adding a small square area of each ship dedicated to corporate emblems that automatically apply once you board the ship is not to hard, I'd think. Will it add much to the lag-issue? Low-end PC users have the options to turn off quite alot - turn down graphics, no sound, no weaon fire effects, etc. etc. etc. how about 'no corp logo' button?
Also, to make it easier to add/remove emblems, one could simply make the logo-section(s) of each ship a holographic emitter of some kind that simply pasters a 2D image of the corp's emblem on the hull at the dedicated sections. In this way, if nothing else, ships could get 'uniform' appearances even if you have all 4 different Empire's ships and more in a single fleet.
Others have done somethign simmilar, actually. It may be a RTS game, but here's an example:
Linky. (http://www.gametrailers.com/video/engine-demonstration-sword-of-the/705339)
-
I think we're more likely just to get the corp logos (the ones built from existing elements) over the alliance logos.
Not that I'd mind.

i've been disgesting more and more the idea of what i could buy in EvE that was on top of the monthly suscription, and althought i already invest in e-on magazines and the random book (i havent read the 2 novels yet).....i think the only vanity item i would buy would be SHIPS.
I would buy with plex unique models of Federation ships, that can be flown and used in space, regardless if they are subpar or have few or none fitting slots. Things i would love to see:
- A stylish, incredible fast gallente design, sort of prototype to a racing hull that never materialized and was later re-engineered and marketed to capsuleers. Only able to fit mid slots and low-slots. Made by Roden
- A luxury ride designed by Impetus
- A "Fedmart/Federal Freight/Inner zone shipping" issue hauler (stats as poor as an iteron mk1)
- A Jinmei designed ship
- A Mannar designed ship
- A Intaki designed ship (like the zephyr)
- A sparkly quafe/egonics ship
- and finally a presidential issue ship (the mass produced version of the president's flagship).
At least i would spend moneys on that.....
-
- A sparkly quafe/egonics ship
Like this (http://www.eve-outtakes.de/quafe.jpg)?
-
thats hideous! a badger with quafe logo is not "sparkly".....is plain dull caldari utility-ness
i'm talking something like this:

CCP had better damned implement a skin for every Caldari megacorp/police force subsidiary.. 8)
*imagines his Machariel with a Corporate Police Force paintjob*
-
I've wondered for years why this was not implemented from day 1
The code and technology is already there already. Reason why they didn't implement it was mainly lag. When I presented this question to them a couple of years ago that seemed to be still the issue. But at last FF there was hinted it's possibly coming, even preview pics were shown.

I think it is ship-dependent, they couldn't release a skin for every single model in the game. For example, the Scorpion skins (http://www.eveonline.com/devblog.asp?a=blog&bid=732) doesn't have CPF, Spacelane Patrol or Peace and Order Unit, meaning they probably don't use the Scorpion (it's said that CPF are fond of smaller ships anyway)
-
Pfft I've been flying around in custom skins for ages...
-
And now we see why CCP doesn't allow random player-created ship skins. ;)

New Eden has taste police?

If you thought a pod on the balcony was immersion breaking, wait until you see red and white football frigs flying around.
-
Station names are bad enough. I fear what happens if we get these things, but I'm completely confident that T0rfi won't ever let that travesty happen...
-
Ah, another one of my story illustrations proves prophetic.

I really should try my hand at lotto numbers.

But getting nuked by a Nyx that has Princess Celestia on it would be pretty epic. ALL HAIL THE PONY JAMYL!
-
Hey Itsvaan, where did you get that Image?

That's (by Internet terms) ancient stuff accompanying Istvaan's fiction.
