Post here if you want me to do a writeup on how I got my gender-restricted, racially-restricted lolnun corp of ostracized crazies up from ten members to fifty in two months, and peaked at 20 on average.
This is about the one thing I do well, btw. Well enough that the likes of CAIN used to hire me to hold conferences for them and paid me dozens of millions per corp per conference, back when that was srs monies.
-
I've heard over and over in the time I've been in Eve, 'why can't I grow my corp', so, yeah, it would be a good resource, I think.
-
'Kay. That's one chorus of DO IT in the bag, so.
THIS SPACE RESERVED FOR ASHARSECRETS.
-
Yeah, do it. Maybe I'll try and talk you into recruiting people for Du'uma Fiisi's cause xD
-
Definitely would love to see it, picking your brain in private just wasn't enough for me.

Show me the path to the dark side, Obi-wan Kor-Azor

Do Want!
-
I dont even have a corp and I want to see it.
-
I learned recruitment from Ashar. It allowed me to successfully recruit about 30 players in the span of a few months.
Unfortunately, almost every one of them played for one or two weeks each and then abandoned the game without another word.
I is terrible Marshal. ._.

I need moar minions for my conques. . . er, liberation of the state from Tibus Heth!

Retention is the fucking devil, boys and girls. I can't say that enough.

It would be beneficial.

It writes the guide or it gets the hose again.
-
Yes, do it. Do itttttt.

Duuuu Eeeett!
As a two time failed CEO, I would lurve to know how to do this properly!
-
Most corps just send spam evemail to every person in a rookie system saying they need recruits who appreciate the value of metal music and bacon.
-
I tend to keep an eye on local (occasionally recruitment, when feeling brave) for newish people trying to RP in the channel, or peeps with interesting Bios.
A lot of my recruitment is pulling in friends, friends of friends and the like. Works pretty well.

I'd join tbh :D

Metal music and bacon? I've never seen a corp with such refined tastes. To those metal/bacon enthusiasts launching recruitment campaigns based on such a platform, I say Bravo!
-
Ive recruited about 20 good pilots in the past couple months with the metal/bacon ad. Appreciation of metal and bacon is a corp requirement.
Edit: make that 21 :D

neeeeeed neeeeeeed

GET THESE BACON-EATING METALHEADS OUT OF HERE OH MY FUCKING GOD THE HEARING IMPAIRED JEWS WILL HATE US WHAT A PR DISASTER
On a more serious note, go away, I'm dealing with life shit for the next few weeks and then I'm writing this guide more until I can present the first chunk.

I'd be curious as to what you had to say, but recruiting itself isn't that hard.
To recruit, you need patience. This is especially true when first starting out, as you have to be on your charismatic A-game to get your initial foundation. Also, finding a nice balance between keeping your current foundation entertained while still finding time to recruit is difficult as well. Eventually though, you'll find your core group of guys who are gonna stick it out with you. Those are the guys you build around. Active public channels, relaxed atmosphere and friendly members will attract lots of attention. Don't get frustrated when people tell you no.
I ran a capital construction corp in 0.0 for six months and we had nearly 100 members at it's peak. I think that took me about... two months? Two months to get 85 people with a 15m SP minimum standard. Once you get over the initial hump of being a brand new corp with only a handful of members, it gets easier. You just have to stick with it and keep your members interested during the crucial building phase.
NOTE: People tend to avoid corps that are only a week or so old... usually because they don't want to waste their time with a CEO that's gonna give up and flake out.
Hope this helps

By the way, I didn't mean to hijack your thread brosef. I'd like to hear what you have to say.
-
BROSEF
I don't know how possible this shit is right now, what with the extremely limited contact list and everything else.
Also, I just came out of cryo and I'm working twelve hour days already. And I HATE EVERYTHING.
Maybe this week I'll finish it.
-
FINNEEESSSS EEEEETTTT!
NAOW!
*real edit because fake edit suxors* I'd love to see this, actually. I would definitly appreciate it if you ever finished it.
-
It'd be about freaking time.
-
Not gonna finish it now, 'cause of BloodBird.
Eh, whatever. MORE IMPORTANTLY. Any of you got an application for GETTING AROUND the contact list problem, or would be willing to donate money (isk) to pay a developer to do eet?
