interesting Quotes

Basically, come up with a quote, either something you make up, for from somewhere else, that you feel describes your characters, and yourself

Nikita:
"Me, I'm dishonest. And a dishonest man you can always trust to be dishonest. Honestly, it's the honest ones you want to watch out for. Because you can never predict when they're going to do something incredibly…stupid."
-Jack Sparrow

Arriana:
"Dream as if you'll live forever, live as if you'll die today.”
James Dean

Arci:
"I dream of giving birth to a child who will ask, "Mother, what was war?"
-Eve Merriam

me:
"I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference."

-Robert Frost

"All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players:
They have their exits and their entrances;
And one man in his time plays many parts..."

'Know your enemy, know yourself, and you need not fear the outcome of a hundred battles. Know yourself but not your enemy, and for every victory gained, you will also suffer a defeat. Know neither yourself nor your enemy, and you will succumb in every battle.' Sun Tzu

Although it relates to battle, I find that it can be applied to any problem you come up against, with the problem being the 'enemy'

I think of it as a kind of 'look before you leap' kind of thing, you just look at yourself, and the problem, before you try to solve it :)

I could explain more about it, but I'd just bore everyone.

I would opt for in-game quotes:

(Paraphrased)

Ushra'Khan: We come for our people!

Rodj Blake: They are our people. We have the receipts.

Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.

I am often reminded of the immortal words of Socrates, who said, "... I drank what?"

Sorry for the slight derail, but I can't think of a quote the sums up Saxon in a tidy phrase.

Real Genius quotes are the only quotes

Mitch: You know, um, something strange happened to me this morning...

Chris Knight: Was it a dream where you see yourself standing in sort of sun-god robes on a pyramid with a thousand naked women screaming and throwing little pickles at you?

"An army of sheep led by a lion would defeat an army of lions led by a sheep." - possibly Alexander the Great, otherwise unattributed. This quote sums up my transition from Endless Corporation (a big unwieldy blobcorp) in the beta, to the more streamlined GH-SC a few years later.

"The most effective pawn is that which does not know he stands upon a chessboard." - Me. Came up with it a few years ago, to make my character sound sage and wise. Since then, I've seen it appear on Myspace/Facebook pages, blogs, and the most random places imaginable.

Feels good bein' so quotable.
