Symphony finally happened

Some interesting stuff in there.

wat
-
I'm just gonna wait for it to show up on the GalNet version of BitTorrent.
-
Ah, most excellent.
I wonder if the CCP art team will make a video of it? A short one like the racial introductory videos.
Edit; or maybe make the song available for download.
-
nah, CCP couldn't make something as epic sounding as they described in the news article.
-
It's in the section for Amarr news rather than important stuff, so I suspect that this won't have any major ramifications.
-
So, we get a steady stream of little fluff pieces about stage performances (see also, Plantation), and we lack the most basic forms of feedback about the Sansha invasions.
Fantastic.

That's pretty much it, although I suspect that different teams are responsible.

I'm not sure what people were expecting?
The inauguration of President Roden had the entire Senate and Supreme Court had similar ramifications in the ability to wipe out the Federal government in one swoop, but it wasn't a big of a deal.

*facepalms*

Um. This was written by an ISD volunteer, not by core storyline staff. It's more or less a flavor piece, rather than something to herald major changes in the fictional landscape.

Yeah, just like the Ducia Foundry attack.
I made a thread in response to it, and I ended up with the Ishaeka reports.
-
Again, it's not anything more exciting than the Roden inauguration...
Chillax, it's just a flavour piece.
Why not focus on what it has explaining music in Amarr backstory?

I'm not sure what people were expecting?
Considering someone may have already taken a crack at blowing Jamyl up at Pashanai earlier this year ... maybe oh, someone might have expected Attempt #2? Or even the symphony turning out to be a scathing satire instead of a tribute?
Not that any of my alts will be making a comment thread about this on IGS/Eve Fiction. I don't want any of them to wind up with something like the Ishaeka Reports!
-
And certainly nothing to do with a resurgent ebil faction that can materialize into the middle of a highsec system, get past any kind of defensive perimeter, and nuke a site from orbit.
Nothing at all like that.
-
Nah assassinating the Empress is really the Matari's shtick.
I forget who assassinated the previous Emperor though.
-
Oh, heaven forbid there be news articles with NO DRAMA! Why would it be news without drama? That's as pointless as trying to roleplay without having drama! Everyone knows we're all Mary-Sues, anyways, and that things only ever happen to us. :P
You know, you could always volunteer for ISD and ask to cover the topics you feel they're overlooking, Jules :) I thought it was kind of nice to see that sometimes events can happen without horrific interruptions.
-
I forget who assassinated the previous Emperor though.
Blooders, supposedly (never really confirmed).
I also expected something WTF to happen at this event, but oh well.

Yeah, CCP forgot to actually explain anything about Doriam's assination.
However, given that:
* Doriam had just fought a successful campaign against the Blood Raiders
* Omir seemed very happy with Doriam's death
* Chamberlain Karsoth was later revealed to be a Blooder agent
I think that it's safe to assume that there was at least some Blood Raider involvement.
