AC is definitely one of the real highlights of simdriving on PC.

And it has left me wondering, is Dirt Rally a game, where a 360 controller will (as faux as it may be) feel the road via rumble, visuals and audio synchronicity as acutely as with AC? Controller can never be a real wheel & pedals set up, but can you feel the road & tires via  a 360 pad?

Personally i've tried Project Cars and while i could deal with its little bugs and inconsistencies of ui or general game play - the lack of road & wheel feel was like driving blind. I walked away and lost all interest returning to AC.

*note steeringwheel/pedals are no go on account of health variables.

I haven't the faintest idea. I haven't used a controller for driving games since... well, I can't actually remember. I was probably playing on some console or other with no rumble.
