This was just shown at E3. Ubisoft is working on a PC/PS3/360 game about using surveillance technology in a GTA-esque setting, which looks to be all sorts of interesting and the trailer is worth a look.

Looks promising, assuming everything isn't causal and circumstantial...will be added for consideration!

I don't get the attraction, to be honest. Same old shit we've seen everywhere. Coverbased third-person-shooter with a hacking gimmick and some freeroam. Nothing new under the sun and a developer we all know is a cuntwaffle of extraordinary dimensions.

I'm interested -- it's hard to say for sure at the moment, but the setting seems neat and has the potential for a good storyline going. Definitely something I'll be keeping an eye on, though.

Yeah, the setting strikes a particular chord with me; I like it a lot. Cover-based shooter is typical too, for sure, but the hacking gimmick and free roam loan themselves a lot of possibilities. Cues were certainly taken from Deus Ex: HR.

But who knows; maybe Ubisoft is fully capable of making a genuinely great game once a decade and this will be their next BG&E, which also introduced virtually no new concepts. But damn if that wasn't a quality game.

Definitely one I'll be keeping an eye on as it develops.

qft.

I don't know if anyone has seen the TV show "Person of Interest" But for some reason it gave me echoes of that, just with a bit more hit-man style.

I am interested :3 if end game has as much detail in it as that clip, will be buying.

But I thought you liked Deus Ex...

I do. This doesn't remind me of Deus Ex at all, neither in gameplay, style or even setting.

I think it look interesting, but with a possible 2014 release date I think I'll be waiting to see where they go with it before deciding if I buy it or not :)
