Space is a lullaby, exploration a dream. A conglomerate of capsuleers with a wide spectrum of talents and directions, Advent Ltd. aims to make the dream a reality, formed in part to create a profitable corporation out of exploration, the technologies of the Sleeper civilization, and the vast resources of the regions they inhabit. Advent Ltd. operates within a dangerous and isolated wormhole region where operations are based out of a privately owned starbase. Operating on an apolitical platform and funded by private investors, Advent Ltd. aims to 'leave it all behind' in regards to Cluster politics and make the most of the untamed wormhole regions.
A Breakdown of Advent Ltd.'s Operations:
Operations within Advent Ltd. revolve entirely around the status of our 'home' wormhole system and it's connecting static systems. We aim to make the best use of all of what is available to us at any time. These activities include mining and refining of ore, harvesting Fullerite gases, and dispatching Sleepers for their technology and salvageable materials. As such capsuleers interested in working with or for Advent Ltd. should be able to fill one of those roles, though members are encouraged to broaden their specialties to make the most of the wormhole experience.
What We're Looking For:
Members who are interested in "heavy-to-medium" roleplay with a focus on immersing oneself and character into a life aboard a POS within wormhole space. Skills wise, scanning is a must for fear of you getting yourself lost and it also creates opportunities for members to take initiative within the home system and the connecting systems. Being combat capable in at least a battlecruiser is necessary for surviving the sleepers wrath and anything else that comes our way. Mining, hacking, and salvaging are all nice things to have in your pocket when preparing to live within a wormhole.
Some OOC Information On Our Roleplay
Advent Ltd. is a roleplay corporation with a focus on possibly one of the most interesting parts of EVE Online, exploration and living within a wormhole. Roleplay will be focused on immersion during operations that we are taking part in, whether it is scanning, dispatching of sleepers, or hacking and mining. Also a large emphasis on the actual living within the wormhole, our POS acting as a roleplay point. Advent Ltd. is also a profitable corporation with the mentality that, through the efforts of everyone combined, we can achieve high payouts to both our investors and back to our members.
FAQs
What level of roleplay immersion do you consider Advent Ltd.? Light, Medium, Heavy, etc?
With in-character channels and all corporate operations being considered in-character for the benefit of the corporation, Advent Ltd. considers itself to be in the "Medium" or possibly "Heavy" categories with immersion being of utmost importance.
Are there skillpoint requirements?
Strictly speaking, no. But it is required that you are able to contribute in one of the ways listed above and as such have the skills necessary to do so. New characters are accepted if they have dedication to learn these skills (a solid foundation helps, and we can assist you with that), but it should be noted that characters less than a month old will be considered on a more scrutinized case-by-case basis.
What timezones do you operate in and is there an activity requirement?
Advent Ltd. members are usually located in North American "play" times, ie. 23:00ET - 8:00ET as a general reference. There is no specific activity requirement, but members are expected to be apart of the corporation and be as active as possible. We all have real lives and they come before our capsuleer's.
Advent Ltd. lives within a wormhole?
Yes and no. While we do have a tower within a Class Five wormhole system there are of course people necessary on the outside, and we can try to accommodate to this style of play.
