Hey, I'm a volunteer! I can put as much effort in as I like >_>
-
Multi sell orders is the big one.
-
Oh, setting your skill queue once and never again, pardon me... hrrnng.
Stealth Bomber changes don't affect me so far, though Greyscale did say the decloak nerf is not the only balancing change coming, so I guess we shall see.
Looking forward to seeing the cloaking visual changes, and I like the look of the sensor compass as well.
-
I love the skill queue change.
I understand all the arguments against it, but frankly I'm selfish and don't care. I want it.
-
Personally, I think infinite skill queue is excessive - had the timeframe choice been up to me I would have made it a week - but I'm not about to complain about it since I tend to train a LOT of long skills on (at least on Morwen and Naoko) these days.
The compass and sensor overlay update has had me squeeing since I saw the devblog about it.

Could be a business decision as much as anything. All the MCT for all the alts you can PLEX or sub for with minimal effort.
Maybe that's just my cynicism peeking out from beneath the rock I keep it down with though.
-
the skill queue thing is mostly aimed at veterans not newbies......so its a vitterbit soft pill.

Personally I see a lot I like here as well: Sweetening low-class WH space probably in response to complaints about its viability after several nerfs, enhancements to expeditions (which is, IMO, one of the great untapped features of this game) and other stuff as well.
The only thing that I'm slightly annoyed by is the scanner window being separated out into three individual windows. I rather liked being able to call up multiple scanner features with a single click, and barring any changes I'll probably just have to leave them open permanently now - contributing to window clutter.

Its definitely a buff to low class space. I feel like our corp is going to definitely benefit from these changes.
I personally like the split scanners. Now I can d-scan while I'm scanning with probes. All we need now is to show probes in space, and we won't have to open solar system view at all :D

I... do this already. Directional scan all the things.

We are now Protoss.

Considering the size of starbases, I assume there is a small box or something in the center that is "materializing" the rest of the starbase or some shit.
-
More spess majikz. We needed that. Hrr.

nanites.

I don't even.

It's the future, we are not supposed to understand it.

I mean, I'm all for form over function. I like space magic. But at least give me technobabble to latch onto. I can suspend disbelief with the best of them, but you gotta give me something to suspend it in.

For those of you not familiar with the current anchoring animation, there is an "egg" - I believe it uses the generic racial bunker model - that pops up as soon as a structure is ejected into space. Anchoring it currently causes the tower to "materialize in" with a spotty pattern around the egg. Looking at that gif, it seems like they just changed it to be generated from the top and bottom rather than all around at once.
Some other stuff:
Lowsec DDs: I still don't understand why this is going in. It doesn't add anything to the lowsec environment, in my opinion, and only encourages people with titans to tool around in low getting easier ganks rather than moving on to null. Especially since they expect null to become more evenly populated, I don't really see the point of incentivizing lowsec titan gameplay.
Long-distance travel changes: Fozzie updated the plans; tl;dr of new version is that JFs will now go to 10 LY, all hauling-role ships will get a bonus to fatigue reduction, and Black Ops can go to 8 LY while anything going through a B.O. portal gets a fatigue reduction bonus. These look good for me, as they at least somewhat resolve many of the issues I had with the original plans (large portions of null being cut off from resupply, black ops being painfully hard to use, etc).
Hobo jamming dies: Good riddance. Why they didn't treat this as an exploit is something I'm not totally sure of.
(Potential) nerf to stealth bomber wings: Mixed feelings on this one. To summarize, on SiSi they've rolled back the change that caused cloaked ships to not decloak each other. This was largely done in response to complaints about single players using multi-client programs like ISBoxer to deliver perfectly-coordinated bombing runs with up to 40 bombers at once. While I agree that was a serious issue, I'm not sure rolling the change straight back to "all cloaked ships decloak each other, all the time" is the right answer either, as it pushes stealth bomber usage all the way over to the other end of the spectrum of difficulty ("all but useless except in the hands of an elite few").

Ah, thanks for the explanation of the current animation. I didn't know that this wasn't that big of a change.

Undocking with a dictor, dropping bubbles, then docking up.
Bubble-probes will now self-destruct if their owner docks up.

This. It meant that a single dictor could keep a station indefinitely locked down with virtually zero risk.
