I'm curious as to what forum services you all use/have used for internal corp discussions and whether there is a service that you consider truly outstanding. Looking to the future and searching for the right forum provider to go with for corp stuff... Do tell: all ur forum seecritz plz.

Blueshost + Simplescripts PHPBB Setup with tweaks. :D
Started out with SMF, but I got tired of bugs I kept running into.
-
I personally like SMF, but to tell the truth I'm not enamored in general of the use of forums as a content management system.
-
Rote runs a SMF 2.0 forums which works great. I don't personally do admin on it, but it seems to work well.

EM use a customised version of MyBB.
It's perfectly adequate, but it's the customisations that make my life much easier. For instance, the Order tracker section has moderator options to mark an order accepted/done/rejected and that posts to the thread with a form letter saying what happened.
One click order management!
Automatically remove access when someone leaves Electus Matari!
Compare our In game standings with the Intel forums to show when there are discrepencies.
The customisations rock.

Usually SMF for me. Very good forums, a lot more user friendly than phpBB (especially concerning addons installation), ergonomics, etc.
-
BOOM Runs SMF as well.
-
Naraka. runs phpBB. It's powerful stuff, I'm told, but Myrh runs it all :)

I don't know what these words are.
-
Oddly enough; my partner's refridgerator.
-
SMF seemed much easier for a noob like me to customize and manage, plus it has a calender which is swell.

SMF also has a Very Nice API Required Registration Mod that is Simple to Install and Prevents Spammers from Signing up because a key is Requried. It also allows you to Automatically Set up permissions to corp/alliance their pilots are in.
