As Grr said, all you will get this way is those people who think they're important enough to write about themselves... which, as life turns out to work, are usually not that important in the big scheme of things

I have to admit that you and Grr are right. Maybe more than I first thought. I will use a different approach when I am back from Iran. Add some flavour and twist and do most of the writing myself.

That doesn’t mean that contributions aren’t welcome anymore. To the contrary. So start writing about yourself!

It would be more work for you, Odelya, but it may help to work with each pilot a bit on what you'd like them to write and/or focus on.  Call it "editor's slant" or whatever.  That way they'd know how you'd like to "paint" the pilot.
