Elmund Egivand:
Meet Elmund Egivand, an engineer, coffee and starship aficionado who may be revering machines a bit too much. 

His homeworld is Skarkon II. He prefers to live in the frontiers. Much of his activity in space consists of smashing and grabbing and privateering. He is trying to develop self-maintaining starships.

Due to his first-hand experience with the Republic's mess up with Skarkon II, he is something of a critic of Republic policies, though his impressions on them has soften a bit these days when it is clear that things are starting to improve, though not nearly as evenly as he would have liked.

Will overreact if fed snails, theories with no basis in actual fact and clearly didn't pass the scientific method and bullshit schematics. Highly critical of Federation cuisines.

A firm believer of overwhelming firepower on reasonably tough and fast ships and attacking on multiple fronts.

Also doting husband.
