All fed loyalists welcomed :cube:
-
THE FEDERATION MUST BURN!!!
*Ahem*
I mean, I hope you guys have a wonderful time, even if Malcolm doesn't!
-
Sounds like a perfect time for some wardecs.
-
Good to know. Won't make as alway beacause the hour. :(
-
thanks to whomever reported the event to ISD

this will give Fed Day a bit more visibility

While I'm glad to see this news report, why are the ISD always incompetent? I've never heard of a report of their that was entirely accurate. The Female version of the Mr./miss. Federation was planned FIRST, it was not the version to be added due to demand.
Well, it's a minor mess-up, but maintain the record of non-accurate reports.
-
Yeah, don't get me started on the research habits of the current crop of reporters. :s
I guess we should just be thankful that they exist.
-
They're imitating general modern-day journalistic practice.

I like how the ISD forgot to add the date...

I like how the ISD forgot to add the date...
The blindingly obvious Mass Effect reference was more irritating than anything else, imo.

So obvious I still haven't seen it :D

Well, thats just eve players. I know of at least 6 Muad'Diibs in various spellings.

The hope would've been that ISD folks might be held to a higher standard. :P
(Also, lolquoatpyramidz)

Not sure that's blindingly obvious, to be honest. >_>

Fair enough :p but yeah, I would never have seen that if you hadn't pointed it out.
and \o/ pyramids!

Not quite as obvious (to me, anyway) as "ISD Angelus Faust", but up there.
-
Is it me, or did a bunch of nullsec troll-alts crash the IGS thread?
-
No, it isn't you at all.
-
Heheh goonswarm wanted the 200mill isk reward for "firework show" service. The problem was they did the lightshow asploding ships including mine....
i guess they had their gank and some fun, but also wanted to "scam"...which i did not fall for.

I don't think I've been to a single one of these. . .

I'd rather use my ships to blow up Caldari, not get them blown up by Goons, thanks. :)

I'll be perfectly honest and state that the Miss/Mister Federation competitions were a lot better when they weren't just a portrait contest. We don't do pageants based on just a headshot photo in real life; you can be damn sure that such things would involve a lot more in the Federation too.
The one a few years back that was held in the Athena involved more roleplay than pulling one's pants down and dropping a turd on the 'post' button on an IGS thread, and it was far more interesting and enjoyable.

Morwen, i completely agree with you on that, but this time i didn't have the manpower to handle it really.
Past times i had some help, as someone was handling fleets outside station, others were station-side inviting people to channel and do other stuff.
What i aimed for this year was "visibility", and entice more people to be part of a player-lead live event. Since this is a recurring event, i hope more people will step up next year for more things to happen and probably at a better timezone spread.

It's probably less complicated to handle the organization with one's usual accomplices, without outside help, but generally outsiders tend to be shy at volunteering of their own accord because no one wants their offer of help to be turned down, or to appear overenthusiastic etc.
There was some discussion about a fireworks/figure flying team the last year after the Federation Day, before Incarna happened. I wonder if anyone here might be interested in this kind of project these days?

Perhaps collaborating with or discussing the details of the event with other Gallente players might be productive.
