On account of the hilarious loading times and page-scroll-jumping caused by them, could I ask that all further pictures be uploaded within spoiler tags?

Dude, I think it's time to let go of the Pentium chip and 56k modem by now.

But it is all that is needed to play Spreadsheets Online.

I was looking for an old mining screenshot of mine (Shin in a cruiser missile Breacher with a mining laser), but I couldn't find it. On the bright side, I found some stuff that I did way back in the day with the Punisher. It was, at the time, considered a particularly poor frigate (mainly because cruise missile frigates were king, and it was a pure gunship). It did, however, have the grid for both a 10mn AB and a 1mn MWD - and you could run them both at the same time. The result was crazy fast for that hull, as this picture of Shin flying one (with no speed implants) attests:

This made it a pretty much uncatchable scout. While it wasn't particularly great as an attack frigate with that fitting, it did make an amusing ratter. Both drives would take it right up to a BS in a second or so, and it would then potter around under just the AB at about 1.5 km/s. The only guns it could fit with those drives were gatling pulse lasers, but that meant that they would still hit well at those transversals. For grins, I'd go ratting Serpentis in Pure Blind with it. It could take down the 500k BS rats, though it took about half an hour to do it. A nos in the utility high gave me enough cap to run the AB and guns and armor rep pretty much constantly.

I ended up shooting a bunch of video of this and making a sort of "ha-ha, only serious" ad for the thing:

During the beta-era of EVE, the 4 races had entirely different titans than they do now (they even served a different purpose - they were more akin to giant mobile stations/clone vats/support facilities than heavy weapons platforms). In lore terms, these are the first-generation "Iapetan" titans mentioned in the wiki's titan article.

Edit: Found some pics.

First off, the Amarr one, the Imud-Hubrau. Originally it was more pointy, reminding me of an oversized Crucifier.

At some point it mutated into a bulkier-looking Avatar. The first version is the canonical version of it, I believe.

Next, the Solteur, whom we are all familiar with from the Serpentis event.

And finally, the Caldari one. No confirmed name on this, although I've seen it referred to as the "Omnya".

The Minmatar one, as linked above, looks kind of cobbled-together and almost citylike as it was apparently originally based off of the Thukker caravans, which almost matched the original titans' purpose of "mobile support base".

Unfortunately, the site with the best pictures - eve.klaki.net - appears to have since closed, and the pictures are lost. Without those, I've had to use official art for the Omnya and Imud-Hubrau, which really show us very little of them.

I like the implications of Gallentians being punched in the face by walking up to a Minmatar as they so freely use another person's culture as a fad.

Is it possible to find these pics on the official website as well ? The only remaining source I know is Tessen's website linked above...

And SoCT swarm is my new desktop pic.

It would be fascinating to see one of the first-gen titans used in an RP event. :)

It would, but I think at this point those ships are no longer in the database anymore - they'd need to be re-added to the client and that wouldn't happen until after the art department had V3'd them and made them more modern.

Not so sure how they'd field them in events though; would have to be entirely through middle-of-nowhere beacons I think - iirc Falcon said something about the things allowed within several AU of any planetoid due to their mass causing serious tidal effects.

Lagging Behind

Morwen's Law:
1) The number of capsuleer women who are bisexual is greater than the number who are lesbian.
2) Most of the former group appear lesbian due to a lack of suitable male partners to go around.
3) The lack of suitable male partners can be summed up in most cases thusly: interested, worth the air they breathe, available; pick two.

Correct, these are the titans that caused a planet to flood simply by the tidal effects of one being in orbit.

They have not been in the database, to my understanding, since Trinity.

The first Imud-Hubrau image and the Omnya image are chronicle art (for "The Khanid Kingdom" and "Titans" respectively). All other images (including some CCP-produced ones) have since vanished from the internet.

This one was my entry for EON's Apocrypha screenshot competition back in 2009, and it was one of the winners (although probably more because of the story that accompanied the shot), printed in issue #15. The original currently rests on my corrupted back-up drive, along with many, more beautiful screenshots.
I recently was gifted the EVE Collectors edition for my birthday, and to my surprise, I could recognize my handywork on page 088. I offer you the hi-res version here.

A little backstory: Shortly after Apocrypha was released, Polytechnique Gallentéenne [PYGAL], the corporation I was part of back then, decided to be bold and went through a wormhole for some dangerous mining (our only escort was a blackbird). We were lucky and returned to New Eden safely.
Also on the picture: our CEO Erik Finnegan, who would soon be elected into CSM 3.

Slightly off-topic. Someone long time ago I think in 2009 made a lore compendium pdf, IIRC with all the pictures and such. It has all the then appeared chronicles in it. I still might have that on an external somewhere. If I do, I'll upload it for people. No promises though.
