A curious thing that might be useful for RP
« on: 21 Apr 2014, 11:47 »

A game that appears on Steam front page is: "Tabletop Simulator"

http://store.steampowered.com/app/286160/

a multiplayer table, on which you can play cards, and/or fly into a rage.

Seems like something that might be handy for RP.

And something that Incarna could have been.

I guess it's got its own subreddit, where the devs are mods. Seems like a tool where you pull down mods and assets for whatever your needs are, and then host a game on your server. Most games should be straightforward, as long as everyone has access to the rules.

Looks like it is significantly more user-friendly than running a GURPS CyberPunk game via IRC with a dice script based on the old Star Wars RPG by West End Games. The sweet smell of progress.

How does one flip the table over in this simulation?    8)

I suffered through many hours using the Vassal engine to play 40k with people online, maybe this one will get a nice set of 40k models :)
