G'day!
« on: 31 Aug 2010, 14:46 »

Hello everyone. Most of you probably don't know me, and the few that do are likely sitting in front of their computers saying 'PLUMB registering for an RP FORUM?! WTF?!?!?!!' To those people, I say that you haven't beaten me yet =P I hope that by reading your RP forums I shall better understand you, and not be left completely clueless when Morwen asks me whether i've heard about the latest IC drama.

For the majority, hey! My name is Plumb, ingame my character is called Captain Plumb (imaginative, right? Dx ) I am currently a member of Veto Corp serving under the infamous Verone.

In terms of RP, I do not RP actively, only really doing so when it is required either by the corp or when my ex corpmates demand that i only converse with them incharacter. I am very interested in Eve's backstory however, and have read all of the eve chronicles and eagerly await the new ones. I have been playing this game for just over 3 years, mainly as a pirate, firstly in a small corp called Twisted Inc (specialising in mission busting) before moving on to nullsec with the Goodfellas alliance. Nullsec was awesome fun at times, and insufferably boring at others. Killed a Titan though :D After nullsec, I spent time with BYDI dropping carriers on people, which was fun for a few months. After a while, flying nothing but a Thanatos gets boring, so i looked up a friend of mine (Mortis Tyrathlion, you might know him :3 ) and decided to join this relatively small fry corporation called Ghost Festival. I spent nine months there irritating Myrhial Arkenath and co with my trolling anti rp ways before heading out with several other PRETA members to join Veto Corp, where i currently reside.

My first real exposure to RP was when I joined Ghost Festival. I initially RP'ed quite regularly, but in the first week of being in PRETA several dramas in quick succession resulted in me distancing myself from the hardcore RP elements rather rapidly. I've dabbed my feet in occasionally, but mostly kept myself in the background, kindly reminding my PRETA corpmates that there is such a thing as taking RP too far ^_^ Recently my sole IC interaction was a strange mission to the middle of nowhere to rescue two ex corpmates from the clutches of the evil blooders. I will not deny that i quite enjoyed this, but I currently cannot really devote time to RP, seeing as my time logged in is spent either on roams or making isk. I aim to correct this at some point, when I find the time and have fully fleshed my character out beyind 'gruff, grumpy Navy vet'. I have an alt that I have used IC a couple of times too, but she remains completely undeveloped and i'm yet to compose a decent backstory for her.

Well, thats it really :) I shall read the forum stickies and have a meander around the boards. Fly safe o7

There are those that argue that just playing Eve at all makes you a roleplayer due to the butterfly effect.  Prices, killmails, wardecs... they all affect the story around us in the strangest ways.

Dabble RP'ers are more then welcome and there's lots of conversations for non-"active" nutty RP'ers to join - I always direct toward the nutty fun that the Speakeasy can be.  Your in a good group - Verone seems to have a good sense of humor, he lurks around here somewhere.

Also you can be in charater without getting into large overarching crazy RP circles.  I think ICly only a handful of people know my main, but I am very much IC on her, more so then Zuzu (Who is missing ICly atm, but missions all the time even though she's "gone")

Oh - and would you like a cup of tea?

Lagging Behind

Morwen's Law:
1) The number of capsuleer women who are bisexual is greater than the number who are lesbian.
2) Most of the former group appear lesbian due to a lack of suitable male partners to go around.
3) The lack of suitable male partners can be summed up in most cases thusly: interested, worth the air they breathe, available; pick two.

Ew, no. I've just hung around Yishal too long. That and teasing Plumb about RP never gets old.
