One of my favorite authors. Sad to see him go too soon.

"No one is actually dead until the ripples they cause in the world die away."
-Terry Pratchett, "Reaper Man"
And what is it with people having incredibly relevant last tweets (https://twitter.com/terryandrob/)? Giving me feels I didn't expect.

Well, I suppose this has been coming for a while now. We knew he was ill, and he knew he was going to die. Doesn't make it hurt any less :( Terry Pratchett and J.R.R Tolkien have had by far the largest impact of any authors on me as I grew up. Good Omens remains one of my favorite ever books. I'm going to miss him.

*Thor sits at his computer, at a loss for what to say or more the selection of things one might say... creeping up behind him is the thought of how many memorable names have gone recently.*
What's with this time of year?

I can only wish that Death is as was depicted in Terry Pratchett's work, and they will have a long talk and a heartfelt farewell.
