Quite possibly the most artistically constructed film since Citizen Kane. Daniel Day-Lewis is put to shame in this classic.

Watch as main character Johnny earnestly presents his plea to purchase red roses for his fiancee. The shopkeeper's surprise, the retrieving of the flowers, and the amazing rapid fire dialogue between the two that points to the intelligent understanding of economics:

The movie is The Room, from 2003. It's considered to be one of the best worst films of all time, due to the horrible acting, weird music, awkwardly placed and spoken lines, and incomprehensible storyline. Also, the main character is also the director, producer, writer, and basically funded the whole thing.

There are far better artistic films since Citizen Kane, which was a wholely unentertaining, but absolutely smashing film that should be required study in every literature class.

Way to derail my thread

Wikipedia speaks. It's the modern day Manos.

Threads do not derail, they are but subject to entropy. ;)

Manos, though, man. MANOS. ;)

Did you hear they're making a Manos sequel?

I was going to post the Nostalgia Critic's review of The Room until I remembered that Tommy Wiseau's legal people told him to take it down or they'd sue him for unauthorized use of Tommy's 'image'...

It's a funny old world we live in...
