Want some mech action? MWO let you down in the end?

It's here, it's free, it's great, and oh is it ever so pretty.

Came across this at Emerald City Comicon, quite a lot of fun so far.

It's very fun if you just want to let off some steam. I should play it again. It had quite a lot of design quirks I didn't like at launch.

I found it an exceptionally greedy micro transaction model ... And that's comparing it directly with tanks and MWO (and war thunder and its star fighter counterpart on steam)

Game is fun, but ultimately it's not the Kind of mechs I like.

Have to agree with Jade on the MT front. Hawken is not an example of a game that does MT well.

Agreed with Jade (which doesn't happen often... if ever) on the microtransaction mechanics in Hawken. They charge so much for so many things, and the game isn't that good anyway. It's basically Call of Duty with stumbling mechs.

Anyone still play this? Someone reminded me that I had it in my Steam library, so I decided to try it again. I queued for 49 minutes waiting for a co-op game. One guy popped into the lobby briefly, then bounced.

I try to find time to play but no luck. Writing, some drawing, reading, anime and EVE ate my free time.

Seen it, considered it, ultimately decided I don't need another arena shooter. I got Star Conflict for that, as well as PS2 for blowing off steam, though that's not a arena shooter...
