We've all had one. This is mine. It took place the only time I went to the channel Shea's Bar and Grill, which was a popular hang-out for people choosing to roleplay furries in EVE. One of them was at this point in time expecting puppies, and I made an alt especially for this joyous occasion. :D
Cruella Duvolle > /emote walks in with a cold smile, inhaling on a cigarette at the end of a long, thin mouthpiece.
Cruella Duvolle > /emote blows out a cloud of bluish smoke, her painted, clawlike fingernails holding the mouthpiece in a vulturelike grip.
Cruella Duvolle > /emote looks around, still wearing the frozen grin. "I heard rumors somebody was expecting puppies..."
Todes > ((OMFG))
Crystal Dihank > /emote blinks
Crystal Dihank > (( JUDE! ))
Jude Kopenhagen > ((i SWEAR THAT IS NOT ME))
Crystal Dihank > (( . . . . . ))
Lord Shrewsberry > /emote walks in wearing his white uniform
Crystal Dihank > puppies
Crystal Dihank > yes puppies
Cruella Duvolle > /emote walks over to Crystal, her hips swaying -stopping once to check her lipstick on the way.
Crystal Dihank > /emote backs away
Todes > /emote arches an eyebrow at the gallente
Lord Shrewsberry > /emote watches
Cruella Duvolle > /emote then looks up at Crystal, smiling brilliantly once again. "Oh, yes, of course, it must be you. Congratulations, my darling."
Crystal Dihank > O.o
Cruella Duvolle > You will tell me as soon as they are born, yes? I simply adore puppies.
Crystal Dihank > O.O
Lord Shrewsberry > /emote sighs, then makes a Nightwatch Special
Crystal Dihank > i don't think you would adore wolf pups
Cruella Duvolle > /emote makes a very wolfish grin of her own as she stares at Crystal's belly. "Such pretty, soft fur..."
Crystal Dihank > . . . .
Todes > /emote gives Cruella a cold look
Cruella Duvolle > Tell you what, darling, I simply must have them.
Lord Shrewsberry > /emote watchs in fascination while drinking
Cruella Duvolle > I will send somebody over with a contract right away.
Crystal Dihank > /emote lets out a low deep growl
Todes > Back off.
Cruella Duvolle > Hm?
Todes > (Shea..... is that you?)
Cruella Duvolle > /emote looks Todes over with a dismissing glance, before turning back to Crystal. "Tell you what, darling, I'll give you twice as much as what you were offered by that strumpet over there."
Cruella Duvolle > /emote tosses her head once in Todes' direction.
Lord Shrewsberry > /emote laughs
Crystal Dihank > /emote lets out another growl* that "strumpet" is thier second mother
Crystal Dihank > dolt
Todes > /emote glares at Cruella
Lord Shrewsberry > /emote tries to get thier attention > Take the fights outside please
Zaltev > /emote stops in for tea and strumpets* Hi everyone!
Cruella Duvolle > /emote looks at Todes in a new light, raising an eyebrow appreciatively. "Are you expecting puppies, too?"
Crystal Dihank > i can handle this shrews
Crystal Dihank > i have akey to the bouncer bot
Todes > No I am not.
Jude Kopenhagen > Zaltev, some strumpets over here, or so I hear
Cruella Duvolle > I promise I will give you a very reasonable price.
Crystal Dihank > im not selling my children you sick gallente
Todes > Not for sale, now leave us alone
Fractyl Gloxer > Such callous disregard for the feelings of others, such ruthless pursuit of a single-minded goal, I rather like this Gallente, yes
Fractyl Gloxer > /emote raises teacup
Cruella Duvolle > Not for....everything is for sale, darling. We just have yet to agree upon the price.
Crystal Dihank > . . . .
Crystal Dihank > your cigarette ran out
Zaltev > /emote joins Fractyle for tea, and offers her a plate of biscuits* Have a strumpet?
Crystal Dihank > can i offer you one of mine?
Crystal Dihank > /emote holds up a pack of translucent sticks
Fractyl Gloxer > Oh, I've tried strumpet, it didn't agree with me, no
Todes > /emote glances at Fractyl
Cruella Duvolle > Thank you, my dear, that is a lovely offer, but i only smoke our own brand, which I know has been thoroughly tested on animals first.
Jude Kopenhagen > /emote chuckles at Zaltev and Fractyl
Crystal Dihank > you sick
Todes > /emote reaches into her bag and pulls out a roll of ductape
Lord Shrewsberry > /emote sighs and mumers to himself > Thats why gallente need to die sometimes
Crystal Dihank > /emote picks one up then shoves it in cruella's mouth and lights the end on fire then laughs as the stick melts and instantly glues cruella's mouth suht
Cruella Duvolle > /emote discards the cigarette butt casually on the floor, pulls out another cigarette, fitting it into the mouthpiece and lighting it.
Jude Kopenhagen > ((Not my deal, but that is godmodding))
Crystal Dihank > like my "glue glue gun cigarettes?
Zaltev > My, the hostility in here is dangerously high
Lord Shrewsberry > It is
Cruella Duvolle > /emote casually avoids the attempt at godmodding, continuing to smoke her own menthol cigarette perfectly calmly.
Crystal Dihank > how would you like it if this bat tried to buy your children
Lord Shrewsberry > I dont have any
Zaltev > /emote munches peacefully on a strumpet, or a crumpet*
Jude Kopenhagen > Hehe
Crystal Dihank > zaltev dose
Jude Kopenhagen > Zaltev, got any strumpets, I mean crumpets to spare?
Cruella Duvolle > /emote looks around interestedly. "You have bats here, too? They make lovely shoes when their hides are cured in the proper fashion."
Todes > Ya we have bats
Crystal Dihank > /emote lashes out with claws at cruella
Lord Shrewsberry > /emote agrees > They are good target practice
Todes > I'm looking at an old one right now *her eyes locked at Cruella*
Cruella Duvolle > Oh, my! Easy there, darling. We are all reasonable business people here, I am sure.
Crystal Dihank > ok cruella
Zaltev > /emote tosses a strumpet at Jude*
Crystal Dihank > im going to ask you to leave
Crystal Dihank > if not
Crystal Dihank > ill kick you
Jude Kopenhagen > /emote winks at Zaltev, thank you darling
Crystal Dihank > unless you can behave civilly
Cruella Duvolle > /emote holds up a hand, nodding as she blows another cloud of smoke.
Jude Kopenhagen > Once again, not my deal, but she has not threatened or attempted to hurt anyone,
Fractyl Gloxer > Cruella's not the one attacking people... *sips some tea*
SheaLorin > Crystal what's up i missed something
Cruella Duvolle > Okay, okay, dear - I'll leave you to bear your puppies in peace. I'll come back to check on them as soon as they're born.
Crystal Dihank > shea
Crystal Dihank > she whants to buy my pups from me
Jude Kopenhagen > Yup, never been here where people where kicked withouth actually doing anything wrong
Zaltev > I doubt there will be 101 of them.....
Cruella Duvolle > /emote smiles her sweet, cold smile as she turns to leave the room, hips swaying as she walks.

This is why Nata is in mai corp and nobody else can has. ^_^
-
I find it hilarious that the forum's 1337th post should detail an encounter involving furries.
-
I have to ask, or my RPer friends in other games simply won't believe me.
Um, I don't even know what to ask. People RP furries in EVE? Or do they engage in furry RP? (Slight distinction there.)
-

IIRC, one of them claimed to belong to an anthropomorphic fox race/species from some moon somewhere, if that answers your question. the one expecting puppies was a wolfgirl, so probably from a different moon. :)
-
For a more on-topic reply than I'd made before, my favorite RP moment thus far in EVE has been the turnout of our [REWARD] Salvation Crusade Offenders Wanted (http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1154820) thread.
Good RP there without a lot of the more common substance-less banter the IGS usually sees. There was a lot of IC morality discussion there and it was interesting to me to see the responses especially from the Minmatar crowd, mostly condemning Du'uma Fiisi's skewed hardline logic. Despite viewing the alliance as a whole as not being as much an RP entity as it once was, it was still very gratifying to have active Ushra'Khan roleplayers among the people making supportive comments in favor of us in the face of all the outrage and condemnations.
-
I have to say that my distaste for the furries doesn't really hold all that much water. I'm sure there's good RP from furries, and considering my own little fetishes, I can't really point and laugh at theirs. However, it's the whole "Look at me! I'm a furfag! It's what DEFINES ME!" attitude, coupled with butthurt when people get tired of that. It bugs me a bit. And the worst part is that this isn't even the majority of furries.
The majority of them are cool guys, just normal people with a kink. Why let those ridiculously vocal and outraged ones ruin a whole community like that? Slap them down, seriously.
Oh, and RPing furries in a universe that doesn't support their existence. Urgh. Now that's annoying on a whole other level.
But back on topic. I haven't had a single 'one favorite moment' of RP in neither Eve or other games. My favorite would simply have to be the years I spent roleplaying Mizhara in another game. An evil and grinning little undead assassin, in the employ of Undercity. It wasn't a moment by itself, nor the character or the universe that did it. It was the interaction with one particular other character.
Thrakmar Ragethunder. An orc shaman, honorable, strong, old and battlescarred. The very anti-thesis to the stealthy, dishonorable, sneaky and vile Mizhara. How both disliked and even distrusted the other to begin with, due to their obvious differences, and how they came over years of RP to trust eachother implicitly, and even form a tenuous friendship. To see eachother's strengths, and see the uses both had within the complex role of a warband. Even letting the other affect themselves and their views, slightly.
It was fantastic RP, over years, and great characterization. I can't speak for Thrakmar (who by the way is now playing Eve, as a newbie. Thrakmar Grimmrad or something I think it was.), but for me that interaction what was made Mizhara who she was. She evolved and developed so well because she had interaction that affected her. That was 'real'. I highly doubt I could have turned that Miz into the well-forged, complex and complete character she was without that.
-
My favorite moments in EVE RP have mostly been discussions (usually in the Thukker channel with Eran) about current goings-on. Nothing spectacular, but everything just sort of hit on all cylinders while talking about the political situation of the Republic and related matters.
Oh, and really ticking off folks in The Summit by referring to them all with nicknames. Nicolette somebody-or-other got really upset (IC only, I assume) by Casi calling her "Nicky" and treating her quite casually.
-

People use that channel?
:wut:
-
I haven't been in there in a few weeks. Maybe even two months. But we'd have small chats in there among four or five of us, sure.
-
There is some occasional banter there, I lurk out of habit now. Missed out on a conversation between a Veto guy and BT earlier this or last week because I was afk. Would have been fun too.
On topic: Hmm, I don't have one absolute favorite moment that comes to mind right now, I've enjoyed different RP 'moments' for whatever particular thing that was cool about them. That said, the recent(ish) party of Matariki's at The Last Gate was a lot of fun. I'm still a bit surprised that I got compliments from both Verone and Eva while I was there, Misan definitely wasn't expecting that. :P

Like Miz it's too hard to nail down "a moment" as I have several, but there's one that no one really knows about.
A quiet little RP scene that had to be agreed on as being white-washed (pretended didn't happen) between Zuzanna and Grr from CVA stands out - mostly because this is one of the few ways it can survive since I can't find the chat log.
I've played in other games where my characters have been captured and tortured. They were beaten, starved, raped, had people killed in front of them - whatever.
Grr did non of this - she never even laid a hand on Zu. She didn't even have Zu tied up - Zu could of decked her at anytime. But the word play and psychological war she waged on Zu during that few hours was very very well done.
My favorite was when Grr tried to claim that the cell kept data from being exchanged from Zu's implants to her ship and that if she died no signal would ever make it to her clone. She then went into an almost hour long discussion about how it's against Concord law to activate a clone unless it was known for sure the capsuler was dead and that every fifty years the cloning tanks was emptied.
She painted this terribly grim picture of Zu's family going fifty years of never knowing what happened to her until Zu finally died of old age and had no clone to restore her youth.
Even better was when Marius (Zu's boyfriend at the time) walked right into Grr's trap to try to save Zu and was put in a cell near her and Grr showed Zu a picture of him and said, "Do you know this man?"
Zu went into an answer of, "What you can see in his pilot records is the same as what I know - he's a combat pilot in my corp."
"Really - that's not what he says - sad you would deny your own husband. He seemed very worried about you." (Grr assumed they were more then dating)
Then after the hell that ensued she offered Zu a copy of the Pax Amarr and explained that Zu had yet to kill anyone and show herself an enemy of the Amarr people (true fact - hadn't gotten on a kill mail yet) and that Grr was willing to believe Zu had just gotten in with the wrong crowd. For a new pilot new to the corp and new to combat - she was freaked out as all hell.
While I know the scene had to be whitewashed - I still am very much looking forward to the day Zu does meet Grr - very brilliant RP.
-
1) Shea's Bar and Grill was popular, period, at that time.
2) We will never discuss what corp these people were in at the time of this event. Like half these fucking people. Christ.
3)
I have to ask, or my RPer friends in other games simply won't believe me.
Um, I don't even know what to ask. People RP furries in EVE? Or do they engage in furry RP? (Slight distinction there.)
Yes, and yes. They usually keep to themselves.
The best thing to do about them, honest to god, is direct them towards the appropriate channel and away from the abuses of the game at large. They simply aren't often compatible with the roleplay community, surprising as it may be.
4) Mizhara, your WoW stuff is worse than your furry-love, tbh.
5) Izzy, I CAN HAS KATLA. And nice cawmic.
-
Shush, Ashar. It was actually a good and well-written universe once upon a time.
-
I'm not judging or anything, Lord knows. Just making sure I understand.
Because, yeah, furries in a transhuman post-cyberpunk space opera MMORPG? I have to tell that story to some folks.

I think the important thing you are missing here is pod-goo and fur.

Also, that, yes.

I find it hilarious that the forum's 1337th post should detail an encounter involving furries.
Damnit, I just had a flashback to last year... Started claiming it was a churchill post until I realized where I was.
You get that reference? You're going to hell. But you already knew that.
My favourite RP moment? Hmm... Probably...
Hrm.
Actually it was probably that whole 'failure of PIE' fiasco. Lots of enemies, only a couple 'friends' in the debate. Really tested my ability to stick to my guns. Certainly not my most enjoyable moment of RP though, hated every bloody minute of it.
-
Tough to pick one, really.
Had some good times with the Sansha thing. Safe Harbor and Happy Chips particularly.
Safe Harbor:

A lot of that also has stuff about Silver's view of the Nation - at least his public view. The entire MXD war, and the thread in its aftermath too:

Have done a lot of small-scale RP over the last year or so that was very rewarding as well. A lot of that is detailed in story form, here (http://silvernight-fiction.blogspot.com/). Into the Dark in particular.
If I did have one particular moment, I'm afraid I just can't recall it.
-
Actually it was probably that whole 'failure of PIE' fiasco. Lots of enemies, only a couple 'friends' in the debate. Really tested my ability to stick to my guns. Certainly not my most enjoyable moment of RP though, hated every bloody minute of it.
Nothing beats a tragic story.

That was just the start of the lulz. Don't speak of teh awesome in past tense, n00b. >_>

My favorite RP moment was when Izzy came back to EVE in 2010 and started working secretly for the Republic Security Services under an arrangement with the Angel Cartel.
...let a man dream.

Seriphyn talking with an old friend who's been through a lot of IC drama etc.
Seriphyn Inhonores > Come on. Let's do something.
xxx > No.
xxx > Not worth getting out of my pod for.
Seriphyn Inhonores > Let's do VR then.
xxx > Let's see. I said no the first time.. then my last answer was no... so let me think...
xxx > No.
Seriphyn Inhonores > You're going to turn into a prune.
xxx > If that is all you have to say...
Seriphyn Inhonores > Oh yes, and...
Seriphyn Inhonores > Woman should not live by finger alone.
xxx > .....
xxx > Don't comm me again.

A recent favourite was a moment with not a single word spoken in any channel, nor a single emote written.
We were in FW for a while and I was cruising around The Bleak Lands looking for someone to kill or a plex to capture.
Passing through a system I found Shalee Lianne and gave her a bit of a chase. Suddenly Garst Tyrell (who had left FW and become a pirate at the time) leapt into system as if called, and the two started chasing me.
I concluded from this that Garst was protecting Shalee and so must have some fondness for her. So every time I saw her in system, I went looking (sometimes I had to run away from her a bit too) and eventually got the kill on Garst I'd been looking for :D
I have many, many more favourites which I'll add now and again, but later. Otherwise this thread will just be me rambling on.
My favourite OOC moment, however, is still:
Xxxxxx > Eva! Eva! You wanna RP?
Me > I am RPing.
-
Before one of the Emperor Memorial gatherings we had a formal dinner for PIE and allies. The menu was something along the lines of:
Starter - mushroom vol au vent
Main course - boef en croute
Dessert - apple pie and ice cream
You see, the corp chef had died in an accident and we had to advertise for a new one. Unfortunately the advert was for a pie chef, not a PIE chef...
-
I remember that event :)
The many, many flirtatious hostilities I've had with PIE have to be high on my favourites list as well.
Archbishop and "It only hurts the first time" was a classic.
Gaven Lo'kri and "violating the insurgents (http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=785564)."
Rodj and the playset (http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1224415) was also hilarious.
-
Xxxxxx > Eva! Eva! You wanna RP?
Me > I am RPing.
This is the entirety of the problem with actually getting to speak to you, about anything. Without concerted effort.
Frankly, we should have cloned you LONG ago.
-
I don't remember how long ago it was, but it was an AURORA event, so that should give you an idea (in before WTFisAurora). I am not exactly sure why it was my FAVORITE as it was a bitch and I was almost killed a million times, but it was fun and full of RP goodness.
APEX was involved in some sort of Inotech (or some variation of that name) test of what was then a prototype jump drive that could be fit on non caps. Vendrin, myself and I think Tek Avalos of APEX were in a Navy Raven and a couple of Navy Cerbs, and there were a few Aurora actors there.
yada yada yada The thing exploded and the Aurora folks put me, Ven and Tek each in a different point in nullsec, in our Navy ships, wishing us our best to get back.
I, ironically or not as this was before I decided Usagi would be a bad girl Gurista, ended up as far back in Venal as possible and while it took me I think two full days of ducking and dodging, managed to get that Cerb back in one piece.
Just rings as my favorite because of, what I thought at the time was, the level of involvement CCP wanted to have with the players. Plus I decided to annoy some nullsecers in local by staying IC.
-
My favorite moment was chaining local-smacking Ishukone rats.
-
This is just one of a number of my favorite moments in RP.
Short version: Verone has a particular flavor of love for the Ishtar.
Log snippets are from last December, in the Gate (unrelated discussion snipped for brevity, but any lols at Veronehaet™ retained):
* Durtha U'tgarde taps the top of his glass thoughtfully, looking at Verone's imposing figure > Your Gallente mate, do you know much about Ishtar-class Heavy Assualt ships?
* Verone nods to Amaterasu, before looking to the brutor > I know enough about them to tell you they're the worst mistake CreoDron ever made.
* Durtha U'tgarde chuckles > Really, hmm.
Durtha U'tgarde > Did you get podded in one or something to make you say that?
Verone > You're far better off with a Gila hull, or even a standard Vexor.
* Durtha U'tgarde grimaces > Vexor's good, but not enough 'grid to work for me, and the Gila is out of my reach
* Verone laughs quietly, nodding to Karlos as he brings him a drink. He looks back to the Brutor > No, not at all... I've flown the hull class... it's a horrible mess... very badly engineered and laid out.
* Durtha U'tgarde shrugs > Guess you would know better 'n me, cos see, I've got one out in null-sec working as my "clean-up" ship, works fine for that
* Verone nods > mmm, It works well against conventionally piloted ships, against other capsule fitted ships its not so hot.
* Durtha U'tgarde nods > Fair point, I only ever used Rupture and Vexor hulls for nuking podders.
* Durtha U'tgarde grins > Which was always rather fun, and worked well
* Verone takes a drink from his glass > You're far better off sticking with them, in all honesty.
* Durtha U'tgarde nods > I probably will trade it in after I collect what I want and return to higher sec space
-
:D
My rarely used but often enjoyable alt Durtha making a showcase appearance, tbh I really need to get him out of the closet >_>
and yeah, V LOVES the Ishtar :P
I dont really have a favourite moment that I can think of, I just generally enjoy all my RP and tbh, its why I haven't cancelled my sub at some point in the last 6-12 months.
-
I'll never forget the day I joined Ushra'Khan. I busted up into the Electus Matari intel channel and asked if there were any PIE sightings.
Their response was: "U'K has lost their damn minds..."
-
Favorite moment? Well, there would be a few I guess.
The time I was in EM and we screamed down to Amarr space to bait PIE.
Most of the space races I have been in. (Speaking of which, when is someone going to start that up again? I'm about to say that if you pay me some ISK, I'll do it.)
Probably the best was back when I was in VersaLife, me and two corp mates were low sec mining, and someone jumps an Amarrian dreadnought into the belt. The pilot tells us not to worry, that he is only hunting belt pirates (of which there weren't any in the belt at that time), and apparently out of boredom launches a flight of tech 1 hammerheads. On top of that, he seemed a bit clueless about his ship. The Gang channel was about as follows:
Corp mate: He's flying a dreadnaught with tech 1 drones?
Saikoyu: As long as he does not target us, he can fly whatever he wants.
-
My favorite moment was chaining local-smacking Ishukone rats.
That was epic fun ^_^
I've loved a lot of Mebs RP in the past. Favourite moments include:
Mabnen I \o/
Invading Khanid lowsec as the bad guys and dominating it.
Beating 7 shades of shit outta Ishukone (see yokobears)
Fighting the Amarrians is always awesome fun and RP (<3 PIE & CVA)
The player driven U'K Insorum slave event we setup
Everything with Verone

Kathy wins the Summit... yet again.
Kathryn Dougans > what's the news today then?
Valerie Valate > aha, it is you
Kathryn Dougans > Indeed it is, and it is also you. Louella's evil twin as it were.
Valerie Valate > we are nothing alike
Kathryn Dougans > oh but you are.
Kathryn Dougans > In ways you do not even realise
Kathryn Dougans > Omir Sarikusa never told you what happened to your mother, did he?
Valerie Valate > excuse me?
Kathryn Dougans > I am your mother!
Valerie Valate > that's impossible
Morwen Lagann > /emote starts giggling uncontrollably > You're joking, right, Ms. Dougans?
Kathryn Dougans > search your feelings, you know it to be... actually yes, you're right, I'm just joking
Valerie Valate > You're only making it worse you know.

After a while in Eve now, I think I can narrow down the finest Eve RP I've been engaged with.
Mizhara Del'thul, racist and cold hardliner that desires nothing less than the complete and utter destruction of all slavers in Eve pitted against Ithiria Deritan, Khanid Holder and owner of several slaves. Some even capsuleer slaves that willingly serves. Miz managing with the help of dibblebill to extract one such capsuleer slave from Ithiria's reach, holding her at the Masquerade and spending every minute of the day breaking her from her willing servitude. Ithiria spending her time finding ways to track and reclaim her pet.
The details are too many and over too much time to recount here, but it involved a few simple photos taken and sent to Ithiria, sending her over the brink and into a stroke. A counter-attack after the slave had been turned into a free woman who didn't desire to ever be named slave again which practically crushed Miz, leaving her almost catatonic with despair at the chain of events. A bit of madness and a fire sparked... The Masquerade burned to the ground. Ithiria mutilated at Mizhara's hands. Deaths on both sides and a pregnancy terminated.
In the end, a Khanid Holder no longer holds a single slave, but had the size of her Holdings increased. Mizhara lost her greatest weapon, her indifference for all human life and is now struggling with doing what needs to be done.
They made for great enemies.
Fun to see that they're now days away from marrying eachother.
Wonder what'll happen next?
-
Math'ra vs. Marius.
Too much awesomeness to recall
-
Math'ra vs. Marius.
Too much awesomeness to recall
:3 Math'ra and Marius' long standing rivarly is perhaps one of the more bloody and mad ordeals that has befallen us.
It is also made of win, especially when Marius sort of. Explodes. with rage at Math, for seemingly little and insignificant pokes.
-
So, uh. Ghost is mostly cyborg bits and weighs three hundred pounds. And has a half-dozen six-inch spikes. They're metal, and they stick out of his spine.
I, uh. About twenty minutes ago, I had my character stick him into the wall of the Last Gate, by mutual consent between myself and Ghostie. Was extremely enjoyable for something so utterly cheesy.
Verone was the one that pulled him out of the wall =)

Aria Jenneth > No frozen DNA samples for construction of your clones, then?
Seriphyn Inhonores > My clones will stay with my genetic age, yea'.
Seriphyn Inhonores > I might have slightly enhanced the size of my manhood, yea', but I'm not that narcisstic.
Aria Jenneth > *raises her eyebrows* Do tell me that was a joke?
Seriphyn Inhonores > Only slightly. And stamina enhancements too.

My favorite was CJ Walker and Jacob Gottii's voluval ceremony. Was really awesome, wonder if someone would be kind enough to post a transcript, or at least selections.

I will necro whatever I please Vizage!!! Also this is really a cool topic.

This is why we can't have nice things..

Wow rude FC.
But really it's been 4-5 years, surely there are new RP moments that people loved?
-
Havo pitches great new social (justice warrior) experiment to Samira Kernher. Great RP moment imo.
-
My favorite RP moment in eve would be the events that led up to this (http://community.eveonline.com/news/news-channels/world-news/anti-provist-rally-sparks-civil-unrest-on-malkalen-v/). It was something that definitely altered Kor's path immensely.
Another fond memory of mine is the fight that ensued between Kor and Kat in the I-RED lounge that even turned physical. It was raw, organic RP that had no scripting planned beforehand whatsoever. It flowed really well, and definitely was a more memorable interaction between the two characters.

That was a fun one.

Well, thinking back I can't say that there have been any that haven't pretty much turned to shit through subsequent betrayals or failures and so on and so forth. Maybe going down to Provi to get a few quick kills and plant a U'K sign in front of Unity Station?
RPing with F1 seems to be less likely to lead to people getting involved and that does seem to be the stumbling block that screws ya over.

And now they're actually friends!
"Haha, remember the one time I socked you in the mouth?"
"Yes. You were completely fucking wasted."
"BOY, WAS I EVER!"

All I can think of is when I was trying to buy and sell Quafe, shipping it from station to station in order to make a profit, and Naupilius told me that I was committing the sin of greed. He told me that I was trading with the enemy, and Gallente soft drinks were probably full of pleasure inducing drugs.

Caffeine and fructose are, indeed, pleasure inducing drugs. But they are God given.

Too many to list, but;
Many years ago there was a nice PIE ceremony in Amarr in the emperor family station, all the loyalists were there, including our contingent of Khanid Kingdom loyalists. Relationships with the imperials were frosty at best, we had been agitating for Khanid on the throne, squabbling etc. But PIE was nice enough to invite us.
Nice speeches, etc. There was a wardec on by several anti-imperials surrounding the undock and we had been hassling the imperials IC for not undocking while having enemies around while doing their awards ceremony. We got it ooc but being prickly IC was our role.
Anyway they ended up giving away a battleship to a randomly selected guest and one of our KPV members won, unplanned. We quickly decided ooc it was perfect excuse to have a fit, so our guy gets up in front of the assembled and declines the gift and calls all the imperials cowards and we all storm out of the ceremony. We were proper little assholes IC and I was so proud of my antagonistic Khanid corpies playing the hard line unreasonable SOB position.
I know we were a pain in the ass for some of the loyalists back then but I really liked playing the awful prickly Khanid cousins for who had major issues with the imperials...

I found this one while looking for other stuff. I had almost forgotten about this, so I can't say it's my most favourite (I find that one incredibly hard to pick), but...I do think it's a little gem now I've read it again.
Ava and Ché are somewhat on opposite ends on some spectrum, and this conversation is illustrative of that, and their personality traits causing the friction. But at the end, when Ava is explaining slavery to Ché, he realizes they do have stuff in common: without knowing it, Ava describes, almost perfectly, how Ché feels quite often.
This convo could not have gone better if it was scripted...wow.
Che Biko > Hey, I'm sorry I pissed you off again, what was it this time?
Ava Starfire > The only people who say "were all slaves" are people who want to justify slavery, Che.
Che Biko > That's not what I wanted to do.
Ava Starfire > Then what did you want to do?
Che Biko > Well, not that. I just explained my perspective.
Ava Starfire > You know, just because you have a perspective, or an opinion, doesnt make you right?
Che Biko > Yeah?
Ava Starfire > You might entertain that thought sometime. And go, I dont know, experience slavery, before saying mindnumbingly retarded stupid shit.
Che Biko > Why is what I said stupid?
Ava Starfire > Because you belittle the suffering, the pain, the loss, the incredible wrong that has been inflicted on everyone who has ever experienced that horrible institution.
Che Biko > Not at all.
Ava Starfire > Its either stupid or cruel. Pick.
Che Biko > I'm having trouble seeing it like that. It just is.
Ava Starfire > And youre wrong. But, hey, thats nothing new. You never admit that maybe, other people DO know what they're talking about, that we do have reasons for our reactions. You're always right. That must be difficult.
Che Biko > No, I'm not. I'm not even sure if I understand.
Ava Starfire > And?
Che Biko > It confuses me.
Ava Starfire > I am in no mood for anything other than direct, clear questions.
Ava Starfire > What confuses you?
Che Biko > Why you misinterpret my words.
Ava Starfire > I heard what you said. And frankly, I want neither a lengthy nor a deep conversation with you. If you didnt mean some sort of pseudophilosophical crock of shit "we're all slaves, so slavery is ok" I apologise for calling you an asshole.
Che Biko > Ok. Thanks, I guess.
Ava Starfire > You're still an idiot. But I apologize for calling you an asshole.
Che Biko > I'll try to work on it.
Ava Starfire > It is a horrible, terrifying, lonely, dehumanizing experience. The complete lack of certainty, the complete lack of everything you have ever known, the knowledge that you're utterly alone, and no one will help you. And you just give up. You just take what comes, and you kind of just give up. You just accept whatever happens to you, because you cant do anything else.
Goodnight, Che.
Che Biko > Goodnight, Ava.
Ché and Ava don't interact much, but I usually enjoy it very much when they do. :cube:

As long as this thread is being necroed...
A long time ago Kyoko got into a fistfight with a Sebbie woman whose name I can't recall, but they bloodied each other up in high heels at a black tie event which was quite amusing.
And then there was that time Verone shot his own dog. Slaver hounds don't like baths.

Well this thread is properly aged...
Favorite EvE RP moment is after my ship was shot down by Odeyla (or however you spell it, can't be arsed to look it up)
She was on that whole "I hate PIE and those who follow the Theology counsel and false empress" arc thing. In all honesty I had little idea what was going on. I haven't been with PIE for long and I was only getting my feet wet in EvE RP so I never kept up with what was going on with that story before this incident.
Well, jumping to the meat of this story I logged in and figured I would get some solo PvP in and headed in a random direction into the warzone, sitting on a button here or there, but never staying for long in any one system. That is until one system I saw on D dcan an astero and a Tristan on the nearby small plex. There were two other people in local. A Gallente FW pilot and Odeyla.
So of course I warp strait to the plex to see if I can either tip the scales or whore on a KM just like Aldy taught me to do in such a situation . Come to find out The Astero was Odeyla and the Tristan buggered out as soon as I landed. I decided to stay in the plex and tick it down because the pilot that was scarred off I knew had friends and could be back with them, making a fun fight if Odeyla stayed.
What happened next surprised the hell out of me. Odeyla locked me up after exactly one minute of pushing the button. The Astero locked me up, nueted me out, and ripped my ship asunder. I still managed to get my pod out, and on the way out of system Odelya says "send my regards to admiral Lokri"
Needless to say I was a bit bummed in and out of character. I was shot down by a fellow militiaman when it's all said and done. But when I look back on it I see it as a fun experience that I wish I could have taken better advantage of. Even though I had very little part in that arc it still felt good to be a part of a story that involved many people and that is why it is my favorite RP moment in EvE.
Not super exciting, complicated, or grand but it is what it is.

Back in the day when Jev is an unfocused young pirate punk in Anshar, late in YC114, we roam in the same Cal/Gal FW space as the Wyirkomi Honor Guard, and clash a couple of times.
Anshar's in an activity lull and we're clearly shit at this, but Jev is painfully polite in local, engages aggressively, and does things like fitting unconventionally, or picking people off from the edges with no-point Coercers, then skedaddling, sometimes successfully.
Desiderya likes it, and after a while, all casually invites her to a wacky laser Merlin duel. Amazingly there's no betrayal from either side. The duel itself ends up being inconclusive. Both pilots retreat to a neutral bar on the edge of the combat zone to "discuss over drinks."
Five or six drinks in, Jev dimly realizes that she has no hope in Hell of drinking this particular Civire under the table, and also that she's agreed to join up.
Oops.
A few days later, WHG ceases to exist, Desiderya reforms it into Pyre, and she is the first to be sucked in by the now infamous recruitment vacuum. Battlefield recruitment at its absolute best.
